Desperate For Input: Legend of Zelda; The Lady In Green

The main idea I have is that in one of the games' countless universes, their equivalent of Link/The Hero of Courage is a girl accompanied by a certain black imp. I've got a few ways that could work that I'm not quite settled on. What incarnation of that would you folks like to see more?
