Status Update - Hardware issues resolved (hopefully)
Added 2020-07-10 13:52:21 +0000 UTCPhew okay, so my technical problems seems to be resolved now (so I hope). Was struggling with multiple issues starting last weekend which I troubleshooted over the past few days, hence I was so slow with updates recently.
But now that I have reinstalled windows, have replaced two essential SSD's, a new monitor as well as a new high-quality Displayport cable (any of you familiar with the 20-pin issue with DP cables?) my system seems to run well again. Still can't promise an EA release of Kendall's album this week but I'm giving my best to get there. If I manage, it'll be on Sunday, though.

Yep, that article helped me as well. I just find it weird the whole 20-pin issue is not a wider known thing. But I guess it's just really an issue for some specific cards that are older than 2017 models and also have display-port slots which are not that many

2020-07-10 15:01:54 +0000 UTCI remember late last year a client of mine was having similar issues and I found this article that helped me figure out the problem or at least get my head wrapped around it. https://www.cablechick.com.au/blog/the-displayport-pin-20-issue-explained/ Afterwards it was some digging for good cables that had test reviews.

2020-07-10 14:51:17 +0000 UTCYep exactly. A month ago it killed my last GPU but I didn't know the cause at the time so I bought a new one just to almost kill it as well, but it seems to have recovered now that I switched the cable. The old one is still done, though.
