Ok so I finished binge-watching your three reactions, I have a lot to say haha First I love the memes at the start (love adding humor and it's so important in these emotion packed episodes 😭) I have watched these episodes like twenty times already and I still feel like sobbing. You don't have to worry about not saying much I think we can all see your reaction through your face omg you have such expresive eyes, that's why I love your reactions :) Aaa yes I don't expect long outros for these action-emotions episodes, analyzing anything can be done off-camera for these kind of episodes, you gotta be in the moment with the feelings😭 Lol, I thought the same about Floch. Anyways, I enjoyed soo much the three reactions :) So excited for the next ones haha.

While he’s doing that you can hear a metallic noise which comes from the metal case containing the letter from Ymir. Nice touch.

2023-09-10 08:49:32 +0000 UTCThere's an important moment right at the beginning of this episode - something that ties in with previous moments in the show: Making the choice to either rely on the comrades you trust, or to rely on your own abilities. Eren says "I should've known this would happen, but I had no choice but to rely on you." Almost every time he's chosen to rely on others instead of his own abilities, people he cares about have died. The soldiers were massacred by Annie when he trusted in the Survey Corps plan. Squad Levi was all killed when he chose to believe in them and not fight. So many veteran soldiers died and Erwin lost his arm when he was taken and had to rely on others to rescue him. Yet the time he chose to believe in himself, he drank the armour bottle and was able to save everyone. So here again, he's shown that relying on others means having to watch your friends die. There's a fear in Eren that if he himself isn't strong enough to do it alone, and he relies upon his comrades, that his comrades will die. Just something to keep in mind going forward.

The only thoughts in my head are full of hate! But Armin isn't like that - he cares about more than just fighting! He has dreams!" Plus we get Kenny's line about everyone needing to have something to keep pushing on, that everyone is a slave to something. Erwin had given up on his dream already, as well as allowing someone else to make the choice for him - something he told Levi back in the OVA that "all that's left to do then is die". He thanked Levi for making that choice for him, for allowing him to be freed from the impossible burden of lives he was under.

He essentially became a zealot for his belief/cause in that moment of realisation.
