Dragons of Asgard 6 Chapter 4 (sex scene)

“It was the silver dragon again,” I explained. “He wanted to show me the Elf King is still trying to put the spell together.”
“That’s great,” Preyna said, and her light-brown eyes sparkled with relief.
“Oh, yes.” Asta smiled. “It’s probably taking longer than he figured.”
“It seems so,” I agreed.
“What does that mean for us?” Eira asked.
“It gives us a little more time,” I said. “We should continue searching this area, and then we’ll head home and go see Ramir. I want to make sure we find whatever we can here, though.”
“Of course.” Preyna nodded.
“That silver dragon is such a sweet boy,” Kas sighed. “I hate that he’s still captured by the Elf King, but he’s doing so much good helping us.”
“He is,” I said. “But he’ll be free soon, just like the rest of them.”
“I know.” Kas smiled and returned to looking around the small study.
I searched through all of the drawers once more and made sure none of them had false bottoms. I also checked beneath the desk and near the mantle, but I didn’t find anything else of interest.
After a few minutes, I checked with everyone else, and we were all empty handed except for more torture drawings and several scrolls about weapons and how to design them.
“Alright,” I said as everyone gathered back around the desk. “It’s mid afternoon already, we should get going.”
“We can’t leave these here,” Asta said with a gesture at the drawing on the desk.
“Let’s burn them,” Eira grumbled, and she reached down and gave a couple of the papers a little flick so they flew across the desk.
“As much as I like that idea, we should probably take them with us,” Preyna said.
“What for?” Eira asked, and her red eyebrows pinched together with confusion.
“That way we know how the devices work in case we come across one,” Kas said.
“Yes,” Preyna agreed. “And we can give them to Odin. I don’t know how this is all going to end, but he may want to bring some sort of action against the Elf King, and if that’s the case, these drawings will help to show just what a sick arsehole the Elf King really is to the people of Alfheim and Asgard.”
“You’re right,” I said. “We should take them with us. Kas, can you put them in your satchel?”
“Of course,” the strawberry-blonde agreed, and she first pulled out a piece of leather twine from her bag, piled all the papers in a neat wad, and then tied the leather around them to hold them together.
Once they were in her satchel, I figured it was time for us to go.
“Are we headed back home?” Eira asked.
“Yes,” I said, and I looked over to where the little dragons were all asleep next to the tin of treats they’d devoured.
They were clearly exhausted from the past couple of days. We’d only got a couple hours of sleep last night, and that just wasn’t enough.
“They’re so tired.” Asta frowned.
“I think we all are tired,” Kas yawned.
The Elf King still hadn’t figured out his spell, and I doubted he was going to perfect it and perform it within the next couple of hours. It was already late in the day, and he was quickly losing daylight to use the stone.
Our time against the Elf King was going to come sooner rather than later, and if any of us were going to be any good in a battle, then we needed to get some rest, especially the dragons.
“Odin said the stone can’t be used unless it’s daylight out,” I reminded everyone. “I don’t think the Elf King is going to be performing the spell right now. He asked one of his henchmen to go and get him fresh supplies, so let’s go home and get some rest.”
“Are you sure?” Kas asked, but then she covered her mouth to try and stifle a yawn.
“I’m sure,” I said as I walked over to Blar and scratched behind his ears. “Wake up, buddy. I need you to make us just one more portal, we’re going home.”
“You don’t think we should go see Ramir right now?” Preyna asked as her light-brown eyes landed on mine.
“Right now, I think it’s best if we all get some sleep,” I said. “What’s done is done. The Elf King can’t cast his spell without daylight, and with the way everyone is right now, we couldn’t hold our own against the Elf King if we tried. It’s important to take care of ourselves first, otherwise we won’t be able to stop much of anything.”
“I suppose you’re right.” Preyna nodded. “And this spell to bring Vinrar back is going to be fairly complicated.”
“I thought Odin said whoever had the stone was able to bring a loved one back from the dead for twenty four hours.” Asta’s white eyebrows pinched together. “How is that complicated?”
“He did say that,” Preyna agreed. “However, that’s not what the Elf King wants to do, so he’s going to use this stone in a different manner than it’s intended for.”
“What do you mean?” Eira asked. “How can he use it for something else?”
“We do it all the time as sorcerers,” Kas said.
“We do.” Preyna nodded. “We draw on the magic of the object and its properties, but sometimes we don’t use it for its exact purpose. Instead, we create a new spell. Instead of the stone bringing back a loved one from the dead, the Elf King is going to use it to help him permanently bring Vinrar back from banishment in Helheim. Odin was right, the two things are vastly different. And while the stone wouldn’t inherently help him to bring Vinrar back since he wasn’t actually dead, it can help to unbind him from Helheim, which is essentially what it would do for those who were already dead. It would just unbind them from the afterlife for twenty four hours only.”
“Sometimes I forget how fucking complicated magic is.” Eira shook her head.
“Me, too,” I chuckled.
“Yes, that does sound complicated.” Asta frowned.
“It is.” Preyna nodded. “And spells don’t always work the way we want them to at first, but the Elf King has to get this one exactly right in order to bring Vinrar back, so he’s going to be trying every combination he can think of.”
“He was very frustrated when I saw him,” I said with a devious smile.
“I bet,” Preyna chuckled. “A spell that complicated will probably take him several days at least.”
“He is a gifted sorcerer, so I don’t think we should dally,” Kas said, and yet another yawn escaped her lips. “But I think you’re right. We could use some real rest. The couple of hours last night didn’t do much to take the edge off.”
“No, it didn’t,” I said, and I smiled at my pregnant woman and reached over to push a stray curl behind her ear. “Come on, let’s get you home.”
“Mmm, before we go to bed, can we eat?” Asta asked. “I’m starved.”
“Come to think of it, I’m pretty hungry, too,” I said, and my stomach gurgled now that I’d finally acknowledged it.
“How about we go to the market instead of straight home?” Preyna suggested. “We can grab something to eat so nobody has to cook. The food will be hot and ready.”
“That’s not a bad idea,” I said, and I looked down at Blar’s still sleepy form. “Are you up for a trip to the market?”
The little dragon yawned, smacked his lips, and then closed his eyes again, but this time a portal appeared a few feet away from me.
I chuckled and picked the little dragon up again, and once everyone was ready to go, we stepped through the portal into Asgard. I immediately realized we were on the road that led from our home to the market, and I could hear the chaos coming from down the street. The market was always busy in the evening, which would make it easy for us to blend in, at least.
The Elf King had spies all around, and for all we knew, he had men watching us at the moment, but having such a large crowd around would help keep the focus off us.
“Mmm, that smells delicious,” Asta whispered as she sniffed the air. “I want to eat everything.”
“Me, too,” I laughed, but just then a small woman ran right into my back. “Oh, I’m sorry.”
“Who said that?” she asked, and she looked around in a panic as she tried to gather her groceries back into her basket. “If this is some sort of trick, I swear…”
The woman trailed off as she continued toward the market, and for a moment, I stood utterly confused until I realized we were still invisible.
“We haven’t lifted the spell yet,” Preyna projected my thoughts. “She must not have seen you standing there.”
“Well, if we’re going to swing by the market, we should take it off,” Eira said.
“Yes.” I nodded. “But let’s make this quick, we don’t want to be out for long, especially not with the evening crowds. They get rowdy rather quickly.”
“You’re absolutely right,” Eira agreed. “These bastards never know when to lay off the mead.”
“No, they don’t.” I shook my head.
Kas and Preyna removed the invisibility spell, and then we all quickly made our way to the market and gathered some food. We bought enough turkey legs for everyone from Torni’s turkey leg stand, Eira and mine’s favorite booth. Then we bought some buttered and salted sweet corn, as well as some freshly roasted potatoes, and enough pies to satisfy us and the dragons.
We also purchased a large basket to put all the food in, and then we made our way back home.
The walk didn’t take long, but on the way, the sun sank lower and lower behind the horizon. It was nearly dark by the time we arrived in the courtyard, and even I was exhausted from another long day. We’d done nothing but go, go, go the past couple of days, and I could definitely use a break of some sort.
Preyna was right, the Elf King wasn’t performing the spell anytime, soon, so there was no need for us to run ourselves ragged. When the time came, I wanted us ready to fight, not barely able to move because we’re so exhausted.
As soon as we got home, I got a fire going in the courtyard while the girls dished up plates and pints of mead. By the time the flames were engulfing the wood in the fire pit, Kas handed me a plate and a pint of mead with a smile.
“Thank you,” I told her as I took the plate.
We were all quiet as we ate and drank, and instead of thinking, I savored each and every bite. The corn was sweet and salty, the turkey leg was tender and smoky, and the roast potatoes were cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside but soft on the inside.
As much as I loved to cook, it was nice to have a good meal I didn’t have to make every once in a while.
I took a long pull of my homemade mead and relished in the fact that it went with absolutely anything and everything.
The sun had disappeared completely by the time we’d finished dinner, and before we could even dish up dessert, the dragons passed out next to their bowls with fat little bellies that bounced up and down with their heavy breaths.
“Should we wake them for pie?” Asta giggled.
“No.” I shook my head. “Let them sleep. We’ll give them some in the morning.”
“Fine,” Eira said. “But I’m having some now. Who wants some?”
“Me,” Kas said quickly.
“Oh, yes, please,” Preyna sighed.
“And, me,” Asta added.
“Me, too,” I agreed.
“Perfect.” Eira grinned as she cut into one of the pumpkin pies. “Mmm, this smells delicious.”
“It doesn’t smell quite as good as Rath’s pies, but it does smell good,” Asta said.
“You know, with all this wonderful food you make, I’m surprised you didn’t just open your own vending booth a long time ago,” Preyna said with a smile as she took the plate Eira handed to her. “I’m sure it would have done very well.”
“Oh, no doubt,” Kas said through a mouthful of pie. “You’re not the first to suggest it.”
“I never thought about it.” I shrugged. “I liked my job. And besides, I didn’t really cook for anyone before all of you.”
“Well, maybe once this is all over, that can be your new job,” Preyna chuckled. “The people of Asgard need to taste this.”
“I’ll think about it,” I laughed.
“It doesn’t matter to me, as long as you keep making it for us,” Eira said through a mouthful of pie.
“I’ll always cook for you,” I told her with a smile.
We all grew quiet as we ate the pie we’d bought, and my mind once again wandered in a million different directions. I thought back to that day with Fenrir the wolf and how I’d heard his voice in my head. I’d heard Nidhug’s voice, too, and now I could hear the dragons.
Now that I knew who my father was and that my mother was magical as well, I had even more questions. Why could I communicate with dragons? Was it because of something within me, or was it something to do with my mother?
Obviously, Loki’s children had special abilities, but why dragons?
I shook my head as I thought to myself. Odin had been watching me all this time, and I’d never known it. The old king really was clever, and he’d planned for this ahead of time.
“What are you thinking about over there?” Kas asked and jolted me out of my thoughts.
“Just everything Odin said.” I shook my head again. “It must have been awful for him to banish the dragons.”
“But he knew you’d come to save them,” Asta said with a frown.
“Right,” I agreed. “But he must have also known how much they’d suffer before I was able to do that.”
“I guess I hadn’t thought about that.” The elf girl pursed her lips.
“Being a king is a tiresome, often thankless job,” Preyna sighed. “Odin does it far better than any other king I’ve met, and he doesn’t get nearly enough recognition for it.”
“That’s because nobody knows exactly what he does,” Kas pointed out.
“Very true.” Preyna smiled. “But I think that only makes him a better king. He doesn’t do anything for the recognition, only for his people.”
“We are lucky to have him,” I said.
“We are.” Preyna nodded.
“He said he would introduce you to your father once this is all over,” Eira reminded me in a low voice. “Are you excited about that?”
“I don’t know,” I answered honestly. “I’m still not sure how to feel about it all.”
“That’s understandable,” Kas told me, and she reached over and put her hand on my knee. “But we’ll be with you the whole time.”
“Oh, yes.” Asta nodded. “We will support you no matter what.”
“Thank you.” I smiled. “I know you will.”
My women chatted for a while longer while we ate our pie, but after some time, I saw Asta’s eyelids grow heavy, and her blinks became slower and slower. Then Preyna yawned and stretched, and Eira rested her head in her palm and dozed off.
“Alright,” I chuckled and stood up. “Time for bed.”
“Mmm, yes,” Preyna yawned. “I think that’s a good idea.
“Let me help you into the house,” I said, and I picked up Blar, Inger, and Svass and gently stroked Uffe and Elding with my foot to wake them, too.
The two dragons yawned, opened their eyes, and trailed along behind me as I carried the other three toward the cottage.
Asta, Preyna, and Eira followed, too, but I noticed Kas stayed by the fire.
The girls laid down on the bed we’d made the night before that took up nearly all of the cottage, and I laid the dragons around them. Then I poured myself another pint of mead and made my way back out to the fire where Kas was.
“Hey,” I said as I approached. “You aren’t tired yet?”
“Not so much.” She shrugged. “I think I got a second wind after eating. Do you mind if I sit with you for a bit?”
“Not at all.” I smiled and grabbed a blanket to put over her shoulders. “Here.”
“Thank you,” Kas said, and she grabbed my hand and pulled me down to her.
I sat next to the half Valkyrie, wrapped my arms around her, pulled her close to me, and kissed the top of her head.
“How are you feeling?” I asked.
“I’m feeling fine,” she said. “A little bit strange, but I think that’s to be expected.”
“I’m sure it’s a strange feeling knowing you have a little life inside of you,” I chuckled.
“It is.” Kas smiled and put her hand on her stomach. “Strange and wonderful at the same time.”
As I looked at her with her hand on her stomach to protect our baby, I couldn’t help the pure adoration that welled up inside me. Kas was my first love, and I wanted nothing more than to protect her and our child. But knowing she had my child inside of her also gave me a strange satisfaction. I knew she was completely mine. I’d claimed her for myself, and she was ruined for all other men, which gave me a sick sense of possession and excitement.
“You are so beautiful,” I whispered, and I lifted her chin up so her violet eyes met mine.
Kas’s face was cast in the orange glow of the fire, and her beautiful angular features were even more pronounced with the shadows the flames threw. Seeing her in the light of the fire reminded me of the first time we’d made love, and the thought of it made my heart beat like a drum as desire welled in my loins.
“Thank you,” Kas said, but her eyelids grew heavy as she leaned her mouth into mine.
Kas’s plump lips landed on my own, and I felt a shudder run through her body as she kissed me softly at first but with increasing fervor.
I ran my hands down her back while I slid my tongue out to run it across her bottom lip.
Kas sighed and parted her mouth for me so I could thrust my tongue inside. Then the beautiful Valkyrie wrapped her hands around my neck and pulled me even closer so her body was pressed up against mine.
Through our soul bond, I could feel that Kas was incredibly excited, and the sensation of her arousal fueled my own.
“Fuck,” I groaned as I began to kiss down her neck. “You want me so bad, don’t you?”
“Oh, yes,” Kas panted. “Please, Rath, I need you”
“Mmm, you taste so good,” I whispered as I kissed down her sweet skin to her collar bone.
“Ooohhhh,” Kas moaned, and her nails drug down my back as I continued to kiss lower and lower until her tunic got in the way.
“Let’s get this out of here,” I growled as I grabbed her tunic and yanked it over her head.
Kas’s naked body was on display for me, and I took in every last bit of it. Her full breasts bounced up and down with her ragged breaths, her flat stomach looked as gorgeous as ever, and it was even sexier knowing it would soon be filled with my child. Kas’s knees were shyly pressed together, but I reached down and pushed them apart.
“I want to see you,” I growled as I yanked one knee to the side.
“Rath,” Kas gasped as her sweet pussy was revealed to me.
The half-Valkyrie was soaked with desire, and just the sight of her was enough to make my cock throb with anticipation. I wanted her badly, and I was about to take her for my own. I’d claimed her as mine before, but I felt the incredible desire to fill her with my seed again, and I knew she would want the same.
“Damn, Kas,” I moaned as I slid my hand down her stomach. “You’re so wet for me.”
“Ooooh, yes,” Kas panted, and her stomach heaved in and out quickly with her breath. “Touch me, please, I need to feel you…”
Kas let out a low groan as I slid my hand all the way down her stomach to her sweet spot. Immediately, my fingers were covered in her wetness, and I slid them between her lips and into her sweet, soaking wet tunnel.
“Fuuuuuck,” I groaned. “You’re so tight, Kas.”
“Rath!” Kas gasped, and she grabbed hold of my arm and dug her nails into me. “That feels soooo goooood.”
Kas’s breasts heaved with excitement, and I leaned down and pulled one of her taut pink nipples into my mouth while I slid my fingers in and out of her wet pussy.
Through our soul bond, I could sense Kas’s pleasure grow and grow as I swirled my tongue around her nipple and fucked her with my fingers. She was aching for me, and I loved the feel of it.
“Rath,” she begged, and her grip on my arm tightened. “Fuck me, please. I need you.”
“You need this, do you?” I asked as I grabbed her hand and placed it on my rock hard cock.
“Ohhh, yes,” Kas gasped, and she squeezed me hard and sent my eyes rolling to the back of my head. “You’re so biiiiiigggg. I want to taste you.”
Kas quickly slid out of my grasp and got down on her knees in front of me, and then she yanked my pants down so my erection sprung free.
I sucked in a breath as Kas eyed my cock with violet eyes hidden under heavy lids.
The strawberry-blonde wrapped her hands around me and stroked me while she slowly swirled her tongue around the tip of me until I was gripping the bench beneath me so hard my knuckles turned white.
“Fuck, Kas,” I breathed. “You suck my cock so well.”
The Valkyrie looked up at me with big violet eyes, and then she slowly slid her mouth all the way down my cock until it was pressed against my abdomen. She held me in her throat for a moment before she pulled away to gasp for air while she continued to stroke me with her hands.
“I always forget how big you are,” Kas groaned, and her full breasts bounced up and down with the force of her arm movement. “Mmm, but you feel so good in my throat.”
Kas took me into her mouth again, and then she gripped onto my hips and bounced her head up and down so my cock easily slid in and out of her throat.
The feel of her warm mouth wrapped around my cock was almost too much to bear, and that paired with the intense feeling of her own pleasure through our soul bond had me ready to come right then and there.
I knew Kas could feel I was close, and she moved back and forth even faster and harder until I couldn’t take it anymore. I grabbed hold other hair and held her face against me while I let out a guttural yell and unleashed my hot come down her throat.
My cock pulsated with my orgasm, and the feel of Kas’s pleasure combined with my own made my head spin with an intensity that could only be attributed to our connection.
After I finished, I pulled Kas away from me, picked her up, and laid her in the grass next to the fire.
“Ooooh, Rath, yes,” she panted. “I need to feel you inside me, I--”
Kas’s words were cut short as I pushed her knees apart and placed my mouth right on her sweet pussy lips. She was absolutely soaked all the way down her thighs, and the feel of her wetness made my cock throb with new life.
Kas’s pleasure became my own as I licked and sucked on her sweet spot and lapped up her wetness.
Her fingers tangled in my hair as her thighs clenched around my head, and her pleasure grew and grew.
Finally, I spread Kas’s legs even further and slid one finger inside of her while I continued to lick and suck her clit. The intensity of her pleasure overwhelmed me, and her body stiffened as she grew closer and closer to the edge.
“Oh, Rath,” she gasped. “Don’t stop, I’m going to c-coooommmee!”
Kas’s whole body flailed with the intensity of her orgasm, and the feeling of her pleasure became my own to the point where my cock ached for release once more.
The taste of Kas’s sweet and tangy come on my tongue had me thirsting for even more, and I quickly sat up on my knees and grabbed Kas’s hips to pull her close to me. I finished yanking my pants off, and I took my tunic off as well, and once I was fully naked just like her, I leaned down and pressed the tip of my cock against her already swollen and glistening entrance.
“Rath,” Kas panted.”Ohhh, Gods, you feel so fucking good. I need you inside me, please…”
I wasn’t going to hold off on her request any longer. I didn’t think I could take it anymore, so I quickly thrust the entire length of my cock into Kas’s still spasming pussy.
The strawberry-blonde grabbed hold of my back and dug her nails into me as her complete and utter pleasure became so overpowering it almost made me come right then.
“Fuck, you feel so tight around meeee,” I groaned as I pushed as deep as I could get until I bottomed out against her womb, and her pussy gripped me like a vise and spasmed around me.
“Yeeesss,” Kas moaned. “Fuck me, Rath. I want to feel you take me, fill me with your seed, and claim me as your own.”
Hearing Kas talk like that made me want more and more of her, so I pulled my cock out just barely and then thrust it all the way in hard.
“Is this what you want?” I whispered in her ear as her entire body seized with pleasure.
“Yes,” she gasped. “Ooooh, please…”
I slowly slid the entirety of my cock out of her, and then I thrust it back in with one smooth motion until Kas threw her head back with pleasure and let out a loud moan that I was sure was going to wake everyone in the cottage.
“Raaattttthhhh,” she cried out. “Oooohhh, you feel sooooo good.”
“I love the feel of your tight pussy wrapped around my cock,” I grunted as I continued to pound in and out of her hard.
“Yes,” she breathed as her nails dug into my back. “Ohhh, fuck, you fill me so well. You’re so hard, I--”
Kas’s words were cut off by a low moan as I slammed into her again and nearly knocked the wind out of her. The strawberry-blonde was breathing heavily, and her chest rose and fell with her quick breaths, so I reached down and pulled her nipples between my thumbs and index fingers. I gave them a little squeeze at first, but I could feel her pleasure build with our soul bond, and I knew she wanted more.
I loved that we were so connected. I knew exactly how to touch her and where so she could feel the absolute maximum pleasure she deserved.
Kas’s body tensed as I carefully pinched her fingers with more and more pressure, until, finally, she threw her head back and dug her nails into the grass beneath her.
“Rath!” she cried out as her entire body was overcome with pleasure. Her orgasm was so intense it nearly knocked me out, but I continued to pinch her nipples and thrust in and out of her as she rode out the waves of her climax.
My vision went blurry for a moment from the sheer intensity of our combined pleasure, but I hadn’t gotten my sweet release yet, and I wasn’t going to let her get away that easily.
I grabbed Kas by the hips and flipped her over onto her hands and knees, and seeing her beautifully arched back lit up with the golden orange light of the fire reminded me of the first time I’d taken her and how she felt then. Now, I could feel her with our soul bond, and it was the most intense thing I’d ever experienced in my life. To know exactly how to touch my women and to know I was giving them as much pleasure as their bodies could handle was a good feeling, and it was something I wouldn’t trade for the world.
Once Kas was on her hands and knees, she arched her back so I had a perfect view of her round arse and glistening pussy. The lips of her entrance were already swollen from our love making, and I slid inside her easily and filled her completely.
We belonged together.
“Ooohhh, Rath,” Kas gasped. “I love the feel of your cock inside me.”
“You take me so well,” I groaned as her pussy expanded even more to allow me in as deep as possible until I bottomed out against her womb.
“You’re so deep,” she panted, and she spread her legs wider and pressed her arse back against me. “Ooohhh, yeeeessss. Fuck me, Rath, I want to feel you fuck me hard.”
“Is this how you like it?” I growled as I reared my hand back and slapped Kas’s perfect arse so hard I left a red mark afterward.
“Mmmm, gods, yes,” Kas moaned, and her pleasure flooded me as she rocked back and forth so my cock slid in and out of her easily.
“Oooh, you want to do it, do you?” I asked as I leaned down and gripped Kas’s hair so I could kiss and lick up her neck.
“Yes,” she breathed, and she continued to move her hips so my cock slammed in and out of her as hard as she could make it. “I want to feel you fill me with your warm seed again. I want to feel it spreading through my body.”
“Fuck,” I breathed.
Kas’s words combined with her intense pleasure was enough to nearly send me over the edge, so I leaned back and grabbed onto her hips and pounded in and out of her tight pussy as fast and hard as I could.
Kas’s entire body rocked with the intensity of my thrusts, and she gasped and moaned as she struggled to take the length and depth of my cock.
Her pleasure built and built until it mingled with my own, and I couldn’t tell where her pleasure ended and mine began. We were one soul, one being feeling the intensity of our combined pleasure.
“Ohhh, Rath,” Kas cried out. “Don’t stop! I’m going to coooommmme!”
Kas’s pussy spasmed and squeezed my cock desperately, as if she was clinging onto me for life, and the feel of her intense orgasm was too much for me to take.
“Fuck, Kasssss,” I growled through gritted teeth.
“Come for me,” she moaned. “Fill me with your seed like you did before and claim me as your own.”
“I will.” I slammed into Kas as hard as I could, and while her sweet pussy spasmed around my cock and continued to clench and twitch, I gripped her hips so hard my knuckles went white as I unleashed my seed into her yet again.
My balls tensed as I poured into her, and my vision went black from the incredible feeling of our combined climax. My cock grew so sensitive that the sensation of her pussy clenching around me sent new waves of pleasure through me, and my entire body jolted with newfound desire and intensity.
I waited a moment for Kas and I to catch our breath, and then I carefully slid out and laid down on the grass next to her.
Kas flipped over and stretched so her perfect breasts reached up to the sky as a huge, satisfied smile spread across her face.
“Mmm,” the Valkyrie moaned, and she rolled over and snuggled up against me. “That was wonderful.”
“It was,” I agreed, and I leaned down and kissed the top of her head. “You are incredible.”
“Not as incredible as you.” She smiled, planted her lips on mine, and then snuggled up to me again.
Before we got too comfortable where we were at, I got up and put another log on the fire, and then I laid out some blankets for the two of us. Once I was back in our makeshift bed, Kas snuggled up against me once more, and her breathing quickly turned deep and even with sleep.
The next morning, I woke at dawn and found Kas still sleeping beside me. The fire was down to embers, so I tossed some wood on and stoked it to get the flames going again, and then I went over to the trees in the courtyard and picked some fresh peaches and apples for breakfast. I cut the fruit up with some sugar and oatmeal and boiled it all together while I enjoyed the peaceful dawn. It wasn’t often I got a nice morning to myself lately, but it felt good to sit in the courtyard and just cook something and breathe for a moment while the rest of the world slept.
After a while, I lifted the lid of the pot to check on the food, and when I did, Kas sat up with her eyes still closed and sniffed the air.
“Mmm,” she breathed. “That smells delicious.”
“It’s ready,” I chuckled. “I’ll go wake the others if you want to get dressed.”
“Okay,” she yawned and stretched, and the blanket fell down to reveal her perfect breasts and still flat stomach.
As strange as it felt, I couldn’t wait for Kas’s belly to become round with our child. She was adorable as it was with her wild curls fanned out around her face, but I knew she’d be even more beautiful once our child took over her body.
Before I got to the door of the cottage, I heard giggling from inside. I could tell by how pitched it was that the giggles belonged to Asta, so I slowly and quietly opened the door to see the girls all laying next to each other giggling and chatting.
“Good morning,” I laughed.
“Good morning.” Preyna smiled. “We were just remarking on Blar’s snoring.”
“It’s quite bad, isn’t it?” I chuckled, and just then the little blue dragon let out a monstrous sound that filled the entire cottage. He snorted and then rolled over and snored again, and I shook my head at how loud and ridiculous he was.
“He’s been doing that for the last ten minutes.” Eira rolled her eyes.
“I don’t doubt it.” I smiled.
“I can’t imagine what it will sound like once he’s bigger.” Asta’s yellow eyes went round at the thought of it.
“The whole cottage is going to shake,” Eira laughed.
“We’ll have to send him to a cave or something then,” I snickered. “This place definitely isn’t going to be big enough to accommodate all of us by then.”
“It’s barely big enough to fit us all now,” Eira said.
“Yes.” I smiled. “I wasn’t planning on having four beautiful women and five dragons as my new family.”
“Well, you should have foreseen this,” Eira teased.
“I’m so sorry,” I laughed.
“It’s fine, I suppose.” The redhead smirked. “Hey, if you want, I could ask my father about coming over and helping us add on once we figure out everything with the Elf King. He’s quite the craftsman.”
“Oh, yes, I seem to recall he built your childhood home.” Preyna nodded.
“That’s right,” Eira agreed. “Have you been to my house?”
“Oh, yes,” the blonde laughed. “Your father used to work very closely with the council. He said he told you?”
“He did,” Eira said. “I guess I just didn’t think about you coming to my house.”
“Yes, well, I’ve been to many places where nobody would recognize me except for the person I went to see,” Preyna said. “It’s all part of my job.”
“Do you like being secretive?” Asta asked.
“I don’t mind it.” Preyna smiled. “It keeps things interesting, that’s for sure.”
The blonde looked at me and winked, but I just chuckled and shook my head.
“Come on,” I said. “Breakfast is ready.”
Before the word ready even made it out of my mouth, Blar leaped to his feet and rushed out the door.
“I’m starting to think those snores weren’t even real,” Eira said dryly.
“The first one probably was,” I said. “But if he heard you talking about it, he probably made the rest of them worse on purpose.”
“He’s a feisty little creature, isn’t he?” Preyna laughed.
“And then some,” I snorted.
I led my women out to the fire where Kas was waiting for us, and once we were all gathered around, I dished up bowls for the dragons, set them on the ground, and then handed out bowls to my women. Everyone got some oatmeal and fruit, as well as a slice of pie from the night before.
Asta quickly made some tea and poured us each a cup. We ate and drank quickly since we were all eager to get on with the day, and once we’d finished, we decided to have Blar make a portal to Ramir’s instead of us taking the cart. Even though it was a nice day for a ride, we didn’t have time to be leisurely with the Elf King constantly working on perfecting his spell.
Blar made us a portal to Ramir’s, and we all stepped through and right into the old man’s shop.
Instead of being hidden behind the counter or somewhere else like usual, Ramir stood right in the hallway in a pair of green pajamas and a dark yellow robe. His back seemed more hunched than usual, and his white hair was in a complete mess.
“Father,” Kas chuckled when she saw him. “What are you doing?”
“It’s just after dawn,” Ramir chastised. “I woke up a few moments ago and was thirsty. What are you doing?”
“I’m sorry to interrupt your morning,” I told him. “But we need your help.”
“It’s quite alright,” he said, and he leaned down and held his hand out for the dragons to come over to him. “What is it you need?”
Blar, Inger, Uffe, and Svass immediately ran over to Ramir and fought for his attention, but Elding was more hesitant.
“It’s okay,” Preyna told her, and she leaned down and stroked the dragon’s back. “He’s a very good friend of ours.”
Elding stepped forward cautiously, and Ramir smiled and held his fingers out for her.
“Hmm, so you’ve found a new home, have you?” he asked her as she sniffed his hand. “I’m sure you’ll like it with them. And when you come to my house, you get treats.”
“Eee!” Elding cooed, and she licked Ramir’s finger, something I didn’t think I’d ever seen a dragon do before.
“Well, you are just darling, aren’t you?” Ramir chuckled as Elding leaned into his palm so he could rub her face.
“Her name is Elding,” Preyna said. “She came from Vanaheim.”
“Well, it’s good to meet you, Elding,” Ramir said, and he grabbed her paw and gave it a little shake. “Are you hungry, my dear?”
“We just ate--” Kas started.
“Eee!” Elding cooed, and the rest of the dragons joined in.
“Come along,” the old man said, and he spun around and led us back to his study. “I was about to make breakfast.”
“Oh, Father, we really don’t have time for th--” Kas started again.
“Nonsense.” Ramir shook his head without turning around. “You are my pregnant daughter, and these are my granddragons, and I’m going to feed you when you come to my home. You can tell me your dilemma while I cook.”
The tone of Ramir’s voice let all of us know that while he still sounded like his sweet self, he wasn’t going to give this one up. And honestly, Ramir did a lot for us, so I kept my mouth shut and followed him.
“Yes, Father,” Kas sighed, and her face flushed with color for a second.
Even as a full grown adult, Ramir was able to embarrass his daughter, and I had to shake my head at how silly it was. The old man simply cared, and I understood his desire to take care of Kas, especially now that she was growing life inside her. Ramir had wanted grandchildren for a long time, and now he was getting them, so I didn’t think he was going to let anybody tell him how he should treat them, not even Kas.
I had no doubt he was going to spoil our son rotten before he even left the womb.
We got back to Ramir’s study, and he walked over to the roaring fire and gathered some vegetables and meat from a basket sitting near it. Then he picked up a large skillet and set it on the wire rack over the flames.
The old man tossed some cloves of garlic on the fire before he started to chop potatoes.
“So, what is it that’s going on?” he asked.
“The Elf King has gained a powerful stone,” Kas explained.
“What kind of stone?” Ramir asked, and his bushy white eyebrows furrowed together even though he didn’t look up from chopping.
“It’s called Odin’s Heart,” Preyna said. “I’d never heard of--”
“Oh, yes, I know it well.” Ramir nodded.
“How?” Preyna asked quickly. “I’d never heard of it until Odin spoke of it.”
“Yes, he said the lore of it was put to rest when they decided to hide it,” Asta added.
“Dear, child,” Ramir chuckled and looked at Preyna. “Have you ever known me to not know of something?”
“True.” The blonde sorceress pressed her lips together and eyed the old man curiously. “I’ve also never known you to explain how you know about these things.”
“And you never will.” He grinned and then turned back to Kas. “And you think the Elf King is going to use the stone to bring Vinrar back from Helheim?”
“Yes and no,” Kas said. “Vinrar wasn’t killed, he was only banished.”
“Correct.” Ramir nodded.
“And he wants to bring Vinrar back for good, not just for twenty four hours,” the Valkyrie explained.
“Mmm,” Ramir mused. “So, you believe he’s going to use the stone as part of a larger spell.”
“That’s right,” Kas agreed.
“He has all the components, and he’s working to perfect the execution,” Preyna said.
“We were hoping you knew how to stop the spell,” Asta said.
“Hmm.” Ramir thought for a moment, and then he let out a loud sigh. “I can’t think of a way to stop a spell once it’s begun, especially one as powerful as the one he’s conjuring up. You’ll need to get there before he starts it or interrupt it during, but there’s no magical way to stop someone from casting a spell. If there were, magic wouldn’t be free to all as it naturally is.”
“I suppose I hadn’t considered that.” Preyna frowned. “We did take some papers from his desk, but I sensed his essence was enchanted somehow, so I was hoping you could use them to help us locate him.”
“Yes, if we can’t stop the spell then locating him is our best bet right now,” I said.
“Here are the papers,” Kas said as she pulled them from her satchel and handed them to her father.
“Mmm, thank you, dear,” Ramir said as he took the pages.
The old man cleared his throat, and then he closed his eyes and held onto the papers with a loose grasp as he breathed deeply.
“Well?” Eira asked when he opened his eyes.
“Preyna was correct, his essence is enchanted,” Ramir said. “He’s put a spell on himself to prevent anyone from tracking him.”
“Even you?” Asta asked.
“I’m afraid so.” He nodded. “The spell is strong, and I can sense that it’s old. He probably put it on years ago and occasionally renews it to give it even more strength.”
“Shite,” I cursed. “Is there anything we can do to find him?”
“Yes, he’s got everything he needs to bring Vinrar back,” Kas said, and her violet eyes filled with emotion. “We have to find him before he completes the spell and brings him back for good.”
“I don’t believe I can help you find the Elf King.” The potatoes sizzled as Ramir dropped them into the hot skillet. “But I may be able to help you locate the stone.”
“Oh, wonderful!” Asta clapped.
“That would be great, father,” Kas said. “What do you need?”
“Hmm.” Ramir’s eyes darted to the ceiling as he thought. “I believe I have what I need, except for one thing.”
“What’s that?” Eira asked cautiously.
“It’s not much.” He shrugged. “Just a little of Odin’s blood.”
My stomach fell at his words.
Did he just say Odin’s blood?
