0.47 Progress Update
Added 2022-05-23 19:05:00 +0000 UTCHey, perverts! I'm reporting in on how the next release is going. I'm really hoping to get it done this week! I previously mentioned that I wasn't sure what was going to end up in it, so I wanted to give y'all a more concrete list:
- I'm doing some behind-the-scenes refactoring to make the game easier to maintain and less prone to typos. For techy folks: there are an embarrassing number of magic constants in the code that I'm switching over to actual constants. If I've done everything right, you shouldn't notice a difference when playing.
- I've added additional conversation options in Theresa's chambers, letting you ask her about her current situation.
- I'll be releasing a second graduation option! This option will have you spending a day with Theresa one-on-one, exploring how far she's come. For folks who want a more romantic graduation option, this is hopefully what you're looking for. It's nearly done at over 12k words, which means it will turn out a bit smaller than the orgy option (mostly because more possible participants means more complexity).
I've got some other features planned or started that will not be included in this release. I'm holding off on talking about some of these, but ones that I'm happy to mention are:
- More art improvements and updates, including variations on existing Theresa poses for sex scenes that pre-date those poses.
- A new optional "sophisticated tastes" option that makes Theresa and others tease and critique the player, for people who want a blurrier power dynamic.
- Updated travel transitions, replacing the fade-to-black across the game. I polled the Center of Attention patrons, and they were unanimous about liking the transitions used in The Abstruse Synergy.
- A new horror expedition in Act I, exploring motifs like meeting the devil at the crossroads and bargaining with the grim reaper. This one wasn't included in the horror expedition poll I did recently, but I'm pretty excited about it. I'll return to that list afterward.
Let me know if you have any thoughts or questions!
