As I’m jogging, I realize I’ve got a few ideas for journals in the coming months and none of them include a home journal. Just giving you that fair warning as we get a gym visit, a trip to my sister’s café, some shopping… Oh, and undoubtedly bikini week 2029. It’s always a pleasure running through downtown Watertown, we’re right by a large lake so the views are spectacular.

Per usual, I round the corner past the skatepark and swing by Glorious Pizza. I waved at Blossom and Hayley, they’re setting up for the day. Great development on that front, Blossom says she’ll inherit the business after all and keep running it when her mother, Gloria, retires. Hayley’s got a new uniform, I see, but I’m unsure if she’ll stay working for Blossom when the time comes. It’s a mutual agreement, working side by side with a friend is different than working for a friend.

Speaking of working side by side with a friend, you could see the Rose Quartz office in the first page of this journal, and here we are again! Darlene had put a few morning hours in and I made sure to text her that I’d be jogging by. Figured we’d meet in the nearby park to chat and enjoy ourselves, it’s a beautiful Friday mid-May. Our profits are nice, my take-home pay covering my needs for now, all is nice. I’ve never seen my expenses stay flat for long, though…

In an instance when I need more money than my fair share of Rose Quartz’s earnings, I won’t try to cut costs to bolster my own pocket. I’ll just have to seek different ways outside of the company to make money. Beatrice has begun looking for positions as a Chef, that’ll help our household stay financially secure. Anyway… the basketball court seems smaller than ever to me. Definitely an interesting development. And to think in April 2027 I needed my tip-toes to look over a basketball rim.

Darlene and I spent a half hour catching up, thankfully we’re not always talking about work. My family and the friends could all come here for this year’s bikini week, actually. Enjoy the park and maybe a pot-luck style BBQ. It would either be here or my mother’s, she has the new pool after all, but there’s no reason we can’t do both. I figure I’ll just show a journal of the barbeque we do here since I did a journal at mom’s last year. But like I said, a gym journal is next, then we’ll be back here. Cya!
