2029 April Ayyla Pages

It's renovation day! There have been some structural changes to the Ayyla household, check out to pages for more details. This week touches upon a new development, Ayyla is sure to tell us more next time we hear from her. A fun detail that didn't make it into the text, they now more or less spread out the mattresses each night since the house is small and they don't have a lot of space. Or... it could be that Ayyla is huge and it's becoming unreasonable to have a massive bed set up at all times. I'll let you decide which! Alts on Thursday, also a reminder that the Download folder has been updated and now has all the way up to the first quarter of 2029 and is up-to-date with TT.

I couldn’t have predicted these latest renovations to our house or I’d have waited to paint the walls until we were done. What do you think? It took a consultation with a contractor but the eleven-foot rafters this building had were able to safely be swapped for supportive pillars instead. Beats and I have been working hard to get these installed, it now means I can stand up straight in my own home again!

Things were worse than I’d let on, if I am being honest. Having to crouch through every doorway or more frequently, nearly crawl, has just been a part of my life. At home though? If I can put effort in and improve my situation, I would be silly not to. So another change was cutting a foot and a half out of this doorway. Oh, and the bathroom doorway as well. We’re nearly at a three-year anniversary of moving into this house, I was more than two whole feet shorter back then and wondered if the day would come that I would outgrow this house too. While I don’t doubt that day still will arrive, at least I can happily spend another two or three years here before we find it too uncomfortable.

Beatrice is playing around. Yes girl, we’ve also had to take up the wooden floors in favor something less easily… damaged. A finished concrete floor isn’t what you might immediately imagine as ‘comfortable’ but you have to remember it’s what I was used to back at grandma’s for a while. Beats is doing a great job displaying that we’ve alleviated at least some of the roughness by putting a few carpets here and there.

Finally, we put something of an adjustable computer desk for me to work at. I could even stand and use it for now. That could lead into the final section of this month’s journal… I’ve got some news to share. I held off for a while, probably didn’t even catch on until it had already begun having a sizable affect, but I’m realizing more and more that my growth… Is happening faster.

Now, no one should panic. I’m certainly not. All I’m talking about is a subtle increase. I could have sworn over the years I was pretty reliably averaging three quarters of an inch per month, but not in a reliable sense. Sometimes I’d grow more, sometimes less, but it would stay around there. I’ve totaled up the twelve months including this one and I’ve grown an inch each month on average. In fact, this month is the second time that I’ve grown a full inch and a half. That’s only ever happened once… but I’m thinking it'll potentially start happening more often. I’ll get back to you all on this, I always do. For now, have a good month everybody.
