The owner of Seams and Dreams, Gracelyn, reaches to tug at an errant fold of cloth near Hayley’s shoulder. The older woman struggles in her task. “…Hayley, do you think you could crouch for a second? Or…”

Hayley, not intending to cause the seamstress trouble, apologizes for the struggle her stature causes. Inwardly however, she is amused. “Ah, sorry.”

After committing to using a ladder, Gracelyn’s efforts in assisting her customer to try on various dresses went smoother and sent Hayley further into a blissful state. Moreso when Gracelyn stated Hayley’s current height. “Incredible… I remember when you first started coming here about a year ago, you’ve grown more than a foot taller. Now you stand 8’5” …plus some.”

Joyce, a friend of Gracelyn’s, managed to stop by on her lunch break and assisted in measuring the young, growing amazon.

“And that should do it for today. The first dress was for sizing, but the dress after that is ready for you to take clubbing.” Gracelyn says.

“Thank you, as always.” Hayley says. “-And this bridesmaid dress is lovely, I never doubted Betty would make great choices. Though, I can’t imagine it will fit in a few months…”

“Sweetie,” Joyce chimes in. “You’re likely to need a re-sizing in a few weeks not months. Oh? Well I’ll be…”

Daisy and her mother, Tabitha, were similarly stopping by to be sized and fitted. Though most of the girls attending Claryssa’s wedding didn’t seem to have a steady, reliable series of measurements it was lucky that Gracelyn was capable enough to get a prediction for what the expect on the big day itself. While Daisy excitedly follows Hayley into the changing rooms, Joyce connects with the woman she’d occasionally seen around town.

“You’re sure?” Joyce is saying aloud when Daisy and Hayley make their way back into the boutique. “Because you look far younger than that.”

“Well I… I suppose I bounced back quickly after both of my daughters’ births…”

“Mhm. You absolutely must share your secrets with me sometime… I can’t take my eyes off you.”

“I-I will! Oh, my…daughter, she… It was nice meeting you Joyce.”
