Is there anything better than home-made cookies from your own mother? She’s the best, I swear. Welcome to summer everyone, at my mother’s recommendation I’m doing a journal for one of my rare visits to my mother’s house. I say rare but I visit every few months, which isn’t to say I’m not spending a lot of time with her at other locations. As you can see, my old home can be cramped at times. I try to keep track of myself this journal will demonstrate that my 10’9” and a half height isn’t nimble.

Within months of starting this journal and again four years later, I’d sat in this chair for a page. It’s the other piece to the sofa I’ve brought to Beats and my house, though it’s fairly old and due to be tossed. My mom thought it would make for a last hurrah if I took one more picture while sitting in it, I could feel the seams ripping even for this quick shot. In addition to the kitchen, she’s been remodeling the house.

Okay this… I choked up for a second here. My old room just seemed so…small. I’ve become so huge in these past 7 years, it’s hard to describe that sometimes you just get used to it until a comparison or memory just comes back full force. I can’t stand up in my room anymore. The whole house feels tighter and… less welcoming than it used to. That’s not true, it’s just a room and my mom has even removed all the hanging lights in favor of inset ones but… this just gets me sometimes. Anyway…

We knew Daisy was headed home so before she arrive I headed through to her room. Yes, my hips press against the doorway when I enter. I felt bad looking back, my door had been busted for a year but I indented Daisy’s this time. Guess I knocked off the doorknob too. My mom was probably likely to replace them as she continues to remodel but maybe…she leaves these rooms without doors for a while.

Daisy came home eventually and I had to apologize for causing a bit of damage. She was a bit territorial, not happy we were in her room but how often does big sis visit her home these days? She’d just finished a shift at the Café where she scored a job, the place is bustling these days now that it’s got an amazonian barista. That should be all for now you guys, I hope you enjoy your summer. We’ve got big plans for a trip in July, I’m sure you’ll all hear about it. Cya!
