Someone asked for a comparison between the Japanese edition of Dur-An-Ki (from Hakusensha) and the French edition (by Glénat). Here are a few shots of the two side by side, taken by a smartphone camera.
You can notice a slight color tone difference on the covers, but otherwise Glénat's version is pretty faithful to the original. Worth noting: the Japanese edition's dust jacket has a premium paper finish, with a "porous paper" feel to it (a bit like ink blotting paper). Meanwhile the Glénat version has the standard glossy finish.
For the pages themselves, the Japanese edition uses thicker paper that results in a noticably thicker volume overall. The printing quality of the Glénat version is quite good, as is usual for them, and doesn't feel lacking compared to the Japanese volume. The translation seems mediocre, same as for their Berserk volumes.
