Interviewer: By the way, what did you ask for this "Big Berserk exhibition"?

Miura: I've entrusted all of the management and selection of drawings to the team. However, I can guarantee (the quality of) the contents on display since no drawing was selected carelessly. To be honest, an exhibition is too good for me… *laughs* If there's one thing I hope for, it's that they’ll display (as many) black and white manuscripts as possible, since mangaka is a profession where what we draw is mainly black and white manuscripts and not color illustrations. I also hope visitors enjoy things that can't seen in the tankōbon, like small details or whiteout corrections on the raw manuscripts.

Interviewer: Do you go to the exhibitions of other mangaka?

Miura: I went to the exhibition of Umino Chica-sensei not long ago. I want to go (to the exhibitions of) more (mangaka) but I can hardly find the time… I could luckily go to her exhibition. I'd say that her heart could be felt in the raw manuscripts, no less than that. I enjoyed it. Her drawings felt fluffy and soft, really showing her personality. There was a wide range of fans there, and the hall was full of excitement.

Interviewer: Visitors are expected for the "Big Berserk exhibition" as well.

Miura: I'm sorry that I hardly created this kind of opportunity for my readers for 30 years. In my very early days, the editor who was in charge of me at the time threw a dinner event with my fans. I met a dozen readers who had sent several fan-letters in an African restaurant. Now I think I was easygoing and bold back then. *laughs*
