Here's a few more pictures of goods sold at the Berserk exhibition, focusing on paintings this time. The Berserk volumes are there to give an idea of the scale. Note that the illustrations are still shrink-wrapped in the photos.
Several types of color reproductions are being offered at the event (I'm using the present tense since it's resuming next month in Osaka):
-Printed on semi-rigid paper and slipped in a small plastic frame (All sized in A5)
-Printed on canvas and stitched on a wooden frame (3 different sizes)
-Made-to-order using a high-quality printing process and a fancy frame (4 different sizes)
The ones shown here are the middle size canvas reproductions. They're F6, meaning 410 x 318 mm (16.14 x 12.52 in). The bigger ones, F10, are 530 x 455 mm (20.86 x 17.91 in) while the smaller ones, F3, are 220 x 273 mm (8.66 x 10.75 in).
They offer the best price to size ratio, with the F3 being sold at 2200 yen ($19), F6 at 4510 yen ($40), and F10 at 11000 yen ($97). By comparison the A5 ones (148 x 210 mm) are sold 2750 yen ($24). But of course, it's the actual illustrations that matter, and we don't get to choose which ones get a big or small reproduction.
It's worth noting anyway that even the biggest ones remain smaller than the posters that were included in Young Animal issues over the years (ranging from 500 x 600 mm to a giant A1 one, meaning 560 x 840 mm). On the other hand, the quality of the reproduction is higher.
Also noteworthy is the fact the wooden canvas come without a way to hang them on the wall. That's left up to the customer. Better handle the hammer with care.
