Update - Upcomming Releases and Other News
Added 2021-02-23 22:33:50 +0000 UTCHey all! Seems I did my disappearing act once again. I figured some transparency is needed into my “struggles” with consistent updates. This is more to clear things up rather than seek sympathy or make excuses. (If you’re impatient, skip to the last paragraph for the good stuff)
My 9-life has a way of draining the juices out of me. I can get in a bit of animation done after work on the weekdays as well as significantly more on the weekends, but my brain is usually so spent I can’t think of any clever thing to put in an update without sounding redundant when there aren’t preview images or an actual video to release. This is obviously on me and me alone as I’ve learned to grow through these struggles and will always try to do better with keeping you all in the loop. The excitement of working on Hermione and seeing it come to life has made me seriously consider taking a leap of faith once it releases to focus on OCBoon Full-Time. If not permanently, at-least until my savings and digital ass shaking money runs out.
Learning from mistakes I made with A Lost Hope, I find I’m more refreshed and animate Hermione more efficiently when I have other projects I’m working on at the same time to keep things fresh.
I was waiting till Phase06.1 was 50% complete before releasing the roadmap to give me a nice buffer so release dates aren’t missed again. In lieu of the visual roadmap I hoped to release, and still will do so at some point, here’s a peak at the roadmap to Hermione’s release. These dates are bases off a combination of already completed videos, as well as render and animating time calculations.
- Phase05.2 – Unnamed Original Content – Feb 28th
- Phase05.3 – Unnamed Parody – March 7th
- Phase05.4 – Unnamed Original Content – March 18th
- Phase06.1 – Unnamed Parody – March 27th
- Phase06.2 – Unnamed Original Content – April 13th
- Phase06.3 – BIG Unnamed Parody – April 27th
- Phase06.4 – “I Snare A Date With The Devil” (Hermione Movie) – May 24th
And true to my phobia…I do have something big to drop with this update. After many requests, I’m excited to announce that several previous OCBoon releases will be getting the VR treatment. Some future releases will also have a VR version. I really wanted to get them all converted before making the announcement, but I felt I should release at least two of them as consolation for the wait. More in the post to follow.

The videos were unfortunately delayed for reasons explained more thoroughly in the Preview for Ph05.2. With the exception of future VR content, videos are released to all tiers at the same time.

2021-03-10 13:03:31 +0000 UTCOCBoon was started on an ambitious idea to create an original IP web series with the occasional Parody animations (OC - Original Content | Boon - Satisfy public desire for Rule34). I've kinda got caught up in strictly parody content. Rule34 content can be a bit restrictive at times. Last year I had an amazing Samus video that was a more detailed version of the Supergirl animation, but decided to scrap it after seeing how aggressive the IP holder goes after artists (Animation is now being repurposed into Phase05.3, although not as juicy as the original). The OC animations just allows me some flexibility to test some things in case I choose to start production on the web series. This is a ways off though.
