I mean at least he came up with the plan and set everything up... Plus he guided Theo to be able to find her, so without Stiles Lydia would've died that day. Nobody else had a keycard and I doubt the others could've come up with a better plan.

Parrish saved the town by absorbing her first nuclear scream and than it it was Deaton who subdued her final scream. Deaton and Parrish saved her life cuz what could stiles do that those two cant.

2026-02-03 04:57:04 +0000 UTCI think in both Kira and Lydia's case, it's about them gaining more power and how sometimes you have to learn how to grow into it. Kira parallels Scott in the way that they are both scared of their powers. Scott went through it and now it's Kira's turn. And just like lydia in season 3, Kira is repressing her power which makes it come out the wrong way, just like when Lydia was going places without knowing and when she stopped repressing she was able to tap into her power. So they are just rehashing the same thing in different ways. I don't think it's the same in Lydia's case this season tho. It's not Lydia's power that is a danger to her, it was more so her inability to find for herself that got her there. I think it's why they gave her the ability to focus her voice to attack. Although she still had to be saved, it was less because she was defenless and more because she let her guard down when Aiden showed up. To me, this season for Lydia was about how others gaining access to her power is dangerous and her power is the most important of all so much so that it keeps being threatened and coveted. In Meredith's case, legally they can't do shit cause they are not family. Meredith was in Eichen House before they brought her to the lake house. The only time we hear of her time before Eichen was when she told Lydia she was in chemistry and screamed because of the voices. I'm guessing this is why she is in Eichen, because she hears voices and Eichen doesn't like to let their supernatural patients leave. For the mental health thing, they also have Liam who has I.E.D. Cory's invisibility comes from being a mix of a chameleon (don't ask me what creature it comes from or if were-chameleon exist, I don't know) and something else. We haven't been told what so far. Honestly, even the chameleon thing is what we the Fandom call it (not a spoiler btw cause it's never explicitly said or explained since the show doesn't care to give these new characters background and details). The reason why we haven't got Stydia so far is because some writers were against it. This is why we get all the ships in between, but because the Fandom was so loud and vocal about it they finally caved and haphazardly broke up Stalia and so now we get this. It reminds me of Klaus and Camille (SPOILERS for those who haven't seen The Originals) and how the actress got bullied off the show because of Klaroline shippers.
