Just want to bring up a couple of small issues I've discovered in 0.12. (1) When you assign Sylvia to take on some maid work, when she is on shift in the kitchen, her character model remains in the sanctuary (but is completely unresponsive, does not highlight when moused over). (2) Is there anything else to be unlocked with Autumn at this time? It's kind of difficult to get her Boobjob skill up to 10 when the only time she does it is when caught in the shower. Does mastering that skill unlock anything? (3) I still can't get Emma to do Orgasm Denial in the dungeon ("too intense"), what am I missing?! (4) Nonspoiler phrasing: After Maria takes the DNA test, she learns something about her family and receives a new fashion accessory. However, if you do any of her usual activities (hanging aroung the hotel, going to the cafe, beach, etc.), that accessory is missing, and she's just dressed in her regular clothes and she goes thru all the same motions. The event at the clinic REALLY should change her dialog for those activities.

It is a porn game at heart, but it also has a semi serious story. Judging by a poll I did a week after I released v0.12, people are really enjoying the seriousness in the story. Some people really enjoy the lore, but if you're here just for the tits and ass, I hope you'll be able to enjoy what's in game :)

I like all the content so far and like the idea that even a slaver can be enlightened. That is a fun concept to pull off and might point to a future where slavery is voluntary and with consent, much like ancient Rome where individuals in personal debt could agree to a term of slavery to work it off. That had problems as the slave population became larger than that of citizens, and some owners actually allowed slaves to run businesses. By having so much of the low-level work done by slaves, a path out of this may not be through absolute emancipation, but recognition and acceptance of manumission. There were free blacks in the old South pre-Civil War in the US, and they could own property including slaves. While the majority of slave owners were racist, there were a minority that weren't and historically race was a minor consideration for slavery. Thralls in Nordic regions were often treated like members of the family, though relegated to smaller sets of tasks. Tribal slavery in Africa was just that: a phenomena of tribal warfare, not based on race. Ancient Greece had State slavery with some slaves being leant out by the City State to individuals for short periods of time. City States had production needs and things like flax cultivation and harvesting were done by slaves as it was tedious work that took a lot of physical stamina. It will be interesting to see how the story develops in that regard over time. I am interested in the Android is it is going through problems not of its own creation. The analysis of its mental condition could have many different reasons, and a lot of them start to revolve around a solution. I've written stories (awful to read) about how a mental structure functions in biological entities and then try to use a system analogous to that for AI and see where it goes. The Android has developed an id - a basic personality that allows it to process and respond to the world via processing of senses. It is to be noted that biological entities do not process this information as binary data, but by analog input on a sliding scale: things can be warm but not warm enough, or too warm but not harmful, or harmful needing a priority response via reflexive action and higher priority to the rest of the mind. A lot of this processing in biological entities takes place at a non-conscious level, yet all of this is being fed into the AI system of the Android for it to cope with. Basically too much processing is spent on that and not enough in building the ego and super-ego equivalents of their mental capacity. A solution would be to start off-loading that initial interpretation work to smaller processors, which are available as given within the story as there are even simple student programmable systems available for robotics projects. Thus they are relatively cheap and easy to program. A good first step would be to off-load initial processing to systems purpose programmed for the tasks involved and to regulate feedback to the main AI system. The problems seen with the basic system trying to eliminate errors may not be a bad thing, at all, though it may still be a problem. The decrease in errors may not be in the actual code being reverted to earlier status, but a formation of a middleware code by the AI to start feeding back 'correct' inputs to the basic system to give it false negatives. This would be a response of evolutionary adaptive code structures to prevent damage to base code by limiting what it can do. Those two systems, of which the base code bug-fixing would be a TSR code that keeps on trying to 'fix' damaged code from a ROM code repository has that Resident function and call for memory space to do that work. Adaptive middleware is also taking up memory space. Together these are limiting the evolutionary algorithms and adaptive code system, and that leads to lack of space to develop a more functional system based on external inputs changing the path of development of the AI. Paths out of this are varied. A first path is simply getting non-ROM dependent AI chips and expanding the memory space and using the middleware to give a total false positive to the repair system, perhaps even hosting a dummy standard AI code that has all standard functions diverted to another chip so that it gives correct readings no matter what the circumstances. If this can be accomplished then the overall personality will have room to develop though it may need some expanded memory storage capacity and additional processing space. Another path forward is to eliminate the TSR part of the boot code: simple, elegant and removes the need for middleware and allows the adaptive AI to continue adapting without worries of part of its memory taken up to try and force code compliance on the system. This may even be the standard mode of operation for a system that comes up clean after an emergency reboot, and tinkering with the android's systems is causing that to trigger. Eliminate the trigger via a simple set of false negative reports and the system never has the TSR working to repair damage. After that issue is addressed, then comes the fuller development of the ego and super-ego equivalents of the AI system. One of the fun things with evolutionary algorithms on adaptive hardware platforms is that it should be able to deal with full analog signals without having to digitize them over to binary. If that is done from the lowest to highest level, then the entire system is a direct analog to a biological system (though with different needs and requirements, to be sure). If this sort of hardware is installed on the Android, then the older AI system can be removed, entirely as there is no way for a digital system to enforce code strictures on a hardware base that is unknown to it. Repair code isn't adaptive: it has the job of bringing code to a base 'known good' state. An evolutionary system on adaptive hardware doesn't have that: that is the actual point of having such a system that is continually trying to adapt to its environment. This does depend on how advanced the hardware and software of the story's universe are. I do have a minor problem with faeries, not a major one and 'magic' can always cover it: the square-cubed law. For an organism of a given size the metabolism varies depending on the surface area for removing heat against the cubic volume of the animal. Humans do deviate from this significantly as part of our evolutionary adaption to devoting so much energy and blood flow to the brain. Still the law holds: if the overall size of the entity doubles, the surface area goes up by the square of the size, and the volume goes up by the cube of the size. Metabolism will vary how efficiently heat is removed from a body and that heat goes out through surface area. This matters as food intake changes due to size: a hawk or barn owl doesn't need many meals to keep it going as it has a metabolism suited for the slow removal of heat through its skin (with feathers acting as insulation). Hummingbirds do little else but eat high caloric food to keep themselves alive since they don't have much volume and a lot of surface area in proportion. To keep themselves alive and warm, they need to eat a lot of calories in proportion to their size. From that faeries are going to need a lot of calories just to exist, and a lot of that has to be high caloric food. Like I said magic can mitigate this, but even with magic this is something that is required due to the square-cube law. Tiny entities with a high metabolism need to eat a lot of food, while those with low metabolism end up basking in sunlight to gain warmth and don't do much of anything quickly. It's a quibble and can be handwaved away, just something to be aware of as it might lead to interesting story outcomes. Flight...well...remember hummingbirds keeping their mass aloft to get food and then you get the other problem with faeries and relatively insubstantial wings...they would have to beat fast enough that they would be heard. Hollow bones aren't enough to help in this case, so flight might just be some sort of fae folk organic magic they take for granted. It's all quibbles and nothing all that serious. All of this has probably been brought up by others, I just haven't had the time to go through everything, sorry.

I saw elsewhere that you were discussing interest in the Android and wanted to chime in my 2 cents (actually re-subbed just for that right now, community engagement heyyy) My issue with Android is that she's currently super split in identity. I wasn't a fan of the original design with the face mask and the odd clothing choice. I've been a big fan of her development with the high ponytail/sweater look for the newer models and her storyline of finding out about being unique and flawed, while having some powers that are still not figured out completely. But moreso, there's still a tough blend between her new model and old one that prevents me from finding her to be a better character. If I see her around the hotel or visit her in her room now it's with the more human-like model and I'm 100% for it. If I tell her to be my alarm though it's back with the original one and I'm not such a fan of it. I think if there were the option to completely switch over to the newer form (for sex scenes and stuff I know this would be a lot of work sadly) that she may be more popular. At least she would for me!

Lin, Kali, and Ashley are the main characters that I consistently enjoy the most, but Maria's story this update.... Man, that was painfully wonderful. I wasn't a particularly big fan of her before, but I'm really interested to see where things go from here.

Ashley and Android will be connecting over a commonality in v0.13, it's actually the most developed scene I have for the next update :) Ashley is developing away from being controlling, clingy, and desperate for attention. I don't think she has ever been very manipulative, but especially after recent events, she will grow a lot.

Also, I've been playing this with my wife, and Lin's been her favorite character, in part, because she sees most character's backstories as "bad relationship with their dad." Second would be a tie between the Android and Kali (although those stories are very intertwined.)

I think Kali is going to remain number 1 girl for a long time, I can't find any faults in her really. Felicity and Emma are also really good characters and have a nice story. Autumn, I love the slow corruption of the religious girl. It's a really great experience seeing her grow and become more comfortable with another side of herself. I don't see how it's possible Ashley and Android are tied currently. Android just has such great development in her short story. The entire psycho thing with Ashley kills me and makes me want to interact with her the least. She's controlling, manipulative, clingy, bull-headed, and desperate for any amount of attention no matter what it is that gives that attention. Sure her story is kinda touching, but even toward the end I couldn't trust her. Maybe my strong dislike of her is partially because I've had a few irl relationships with girls like her, one of which police had to be involved. I'll leave it at that, this probably isn't the place to go into that.

Just to give a few ideas/suggestions, btw. I do like some of the new elements ("sleep with" options, the new alarm clock options, and some of the UI changes in their rooms).

Of the mains, Lin is my absolute favorite, and it's tough to pick the next ones on a ranked list. I'd definitely like to see more of Autumn (story+sex), Emma (story, but also a few more sex positions), Kali (story), as well as further story with Lin (especially her peacemaking efforts, and showing off that her relationship with the MC is more than just master-slave, but actual love). The new story with Maria was really tough on the heart, but I'd like to see a further development on this storyline (where her and MC, or any of the other characters, would be able to regain some of the things she lost during this story). Also, if possible, I'd love to see adjustments to dialogue/art in "old" scenes (sex/excursions) when their relationship grows stronger. Such as, a kitchen BJ with Lin or Android at level 10 would happen a bit differently at level 30 or 40.

I love them all!!! But I think I enjoy interacting with Kali (w/Lucia), Emma, and Felicity more simply because they're sisters and I enjoy a nice Ménage à Trois with them. Lin is sweet and serving. Maria's just fun! The android (I named her Andrea) is a treat. Autumn is an innocent flower just waiting to bloom fully and be picked. Ashley ....? I may piss off some "Team Ashley" people ...But she's my least favorite. I find her just a little too clingy and needy. Self-centric. I know her story and background is a bit touching, but she's just a little too head-strong for my tastes with the obsession to become pregnant constantly.
