I believe it comes down to, as I’ve stated before in a comment (GVsG 79), Eri’s technique. Just like in real life, someone who works hard utilizing tried and true strategies will most often come out on top against another who relies solely on natural talent (though this begs the question: what part of the cousins’ tactics are lacking?). If our two heroines really do suffer a second defeat, how would Eri fare against Saki, someone who was also able to best the duo?
