Added 2025-05-10 23:18:26 +0000 UTCA complicated shoot all around but we managed, thankfully. A good example of preparation working out. I did a lot of thinking and planning beforehand on how to set up everything including the hoses and plugging those hoses.
Couldn't get Celestine inside the balloon in one go so we just a hose inside her balloon and waited for it to fill up again, taking pictures. Hilarious stuff (for everyone except Celestine).
Audio is a bit spotty; Carnelian got the lavalier mic but Celestine insisted we don't mic her up as it's just gonna fall off anyway due to sweat. Sure... but now everything she says is pretty distant. If you get the vid notice how her speech is a little clearer when Carnelian is close by: that's the lav picking up extra audio.
I've been trying to up my cinematography game a little lately and I think the video is a much better example of lighting a white room than many others that came before. I looked at some older videos and pics and there's a distinct trend of overexposing everything. Terrible!
Had 4 300d s to play with for this one plus two pavo tubes. They're very good. Controlling everything from an app on your phone is a dream.
