Hi everyone. Happy Art Tip Tuesday.
Here's a big tip for this week. People often tell me the skin I paint looks really good and they ask why. I think that adding hue variation is what makes skin (or anything) look more colorful and feel more real.
People will often think of coloring anything with a single color, but in my opinion varying the colors on something makes it feel more artistic and slightly more real depending on the colors you choose. The middle of the face for example has more blood flowing though it than the forehead, so it can be appear more red in comparison. There are color zones all over the body but I decided to focus on just the face this week.
As always, feel free to ask questions or request new art tip topics.
Thanks!
