Happy Art Tip Tuesday everyone.
Here's a tip on shading arms.
I find that thinking of complex anatomical forms as simple cubic forms help when laying in shadows. This is more for the early steps of an artwork. You can keep the shadows blocky, but I usually end up blending away the hard edges to make the forms more round when I start the rendering phase.
I'll have some tips on rendering sometime in the future, there's still some anatomy I'd like to cover since it's a good opportunity for me to learn as well.
As always, feel free to ask questions or suggest topics.
Thanks!
