Recent downtime & Changelog 23.10.24

Hi everyone,

Thank you for all of your patience whilst TS was offline during the past week.

Unfortunately, due a combination of legacy code and increased users (and attacks 😞) the old search function caused the website to timeout consistently.

I've now gone ahead and integrated x2 Elasticsearch servers that will handle the search moving forward, this has already greatly reduced the load during peak times.

Besides that update there were a couple of new featur...

Revised Patreon Plan Prices

We put out a Poll recently on Discord and had received responses indicating that our plans for support were a little too high, we totally agree and have therefore revised the Patreon plans to better suit the community.

Recently we also made changes to the Recruitment process for Squadrons, so if you're a squadron owner you'll greatly benefit from the Major Supporter plan.

More changes are soon coming to improve ThunderSkill and the features we provide.

ThunderSkill Top Squadron Leaderboard Updated

For a number of years the famous top squadron leaderboard has been a key element of ThunderSkill and connecting squadrons with great players.

This is why a few days ago we refactored the Top Squad and after many calculations we've now settled on a good metric for top squadrons moving forward.

Already, there's been a mixture of squadrons popping up across the different modes, with some existing squadrons still taking up the top 5 places.

What font should we change headings to?

It's been highlighted that the headings are way too thick and pose an issue spotting the actual nickname of players - I totally agree.
