July 08 Updates and Art Previews
Added 2022-07-08 22:01:00 +0000 UTCHappy Friday everyone!
I have some stuff to talk about today, but first, art previews:

The Naked Apron Tsunade pin up is ready for tomorrow, so now I'm officially caught up on "Monthly Tsunade." The Poste artwork is almost there. I just need to add her uniform alt and post process. It will all be ready for tomorrow.
The Monthly Fan art poll has also been posted, don't forget to vote and thanks again to the Deluxe members for suggesting characters!
Regarding the next animation, I've finished the line pass and have started coloring. I'll share a WIP to the Deluxe tier this Sunday.
I'd also like to be transparent with you all on how I'm doing. Ever since I started making two paintings a week and working on animations, I've been drawing for over 60 hours a week after my normal 40 hour work week. I'm not complaining, I love working on art. If I could, I would spend over 100 hours a week just making art. But anyway, I tell you this because I want you to know that I've been working hard every single day since opening the patreon and will continue working hard every single day. That being said, drawing so much is very taxing and I'm not as healthy as I was months ago (the light headedness and eye strain I mentioned before is part of that) and so I would like to slow the paintings down a little. What I'm thinking is making 1 painting a week and releasing sketches alongside them. That way I can still give you multiple artworks per week and save myself a little time for selfcare and side projects and reduce my stress levels at least a little. I put together some examples of what I consider sketches and paintings for your reference.

The "paintings" are much more rendered, more textured, I spend a lot of time on artsy stuff (values, color, shape, edge, composition, detailing, texturing, post processing, etc), and the line work is painted out so it looks more like a real painting. These take a long time. The "sketches" are easier, I still spend time making sure it's a presentable artwork, but I don't fully render it and you can still see the linework. I can make multiple sketches in the time it takes me to make 1 painting. So that's what I'd like to do, 1 painting and some quick sketches every week instead of 2 paintings. I think this is a good balance between giving you multiple artworks per week and taking better care of myself. But what do you think? I'd like to hear from you if you have an opinion. You can comment here or DM if you'd like to keep it private.
Okay, I think that's enough for today. Sorry for unloading all that, I've wanted to talk about it for a while.
Look forward to tomorrow's art, vote in the poll, have a great weekend, and thanks again!
