Chapter 01: Embers From Chaos

Back in 2020 we made the decision to write another full-length album. We both felt really strongly about creating a body of work that had much deeper and personal meaning to it than our previous releases.

To achieve this we came up with the idea to write a story to accompany the music, borrowing heavily from our own personal experiences to establish the main characters and plot. 'Led by Ancient Light' follows the story of two men searching for purpose in a futuristic society that is devoid of meaning. It echoes our own journey from a nihilistic and chaotic period in our lives, through an evolution towards discovering a greater sense of direction and purpose.

Using each chapter to inform the mood, arrangement and sound palette of each track, we designed the album to feel like an immersive journey, transporting the listener through the narrative and sonic world we imagined. Today, we are extremely proud to present the first chapter from this story, both in text and audiobook format.
