In the second half of the video (25.22 onwards) we put these concepts into practice in a short demonstration.

It's also interesting to notice how jazzy chords and complex harmony really isn't this far ways from us as we think it is. This video has thought me that so long as you play within a scale you can kinda figure out all the jazzy/funky chords just by playing around the piano by ear. Great tutorial!

2021-07-06 12:52:39 +0000 UTCYes that's right. The bass note is A but the chord on top can be thought of as a Gmaj9, Bmin7 or even D. Lots of ways to interpret it!

2021-06-25 21:47:03 +0000 UTCaround 16 min in you discuss the switch from Gm to G major (during build)but then in the chords demonstrated with the full bass notes it appears to be a D/A chord as the second chord for the build. Gm,D/A,BbM7,Cadd9 or C6add9..couldn't tell. Not sure which you meant to say is in the build. Pretty chords nonetheless.....

Would love to see some info on how you design/create/mix bass sounds such as out of Kontakt with the more complex synth bass/subs. This may be in another video as I haven't worked my way through all of them yet.
