I'll see if I can get a bit of new content added before the end of the month, for Patrons, but that depends on whether or not I can get some writing and a new character sprite from the other devs.  Whether or not that ends up being the case, I've ended up settling for a whole heap of bug and issue fixes.  One of the Discord-goers, Psion, has been very helpful in reporting problems, and that has made fixing them a breeze.  While I'm pretty burnt out on bugs I've been able to go through and fix the most glaring ones, and also the most simple of the bugs that were just incorrect ability parameters and similar.  This is also why I've decided to release this version for everyone- having a mostly stable build for the public is a pretty important thing.

In other news, I'll probably be releasing incremental, partial builds on the private Patron Discord in the future.  Instead of blowing the entire load at the end of the month, in one big patch, I'll be posting the WIP download more frequently so Patrons can test it out ahead of time.  This should help me catch any issues before they go live at the end of the month.

Cheatcodes have been changed for late January.

Fixed the two missing stairs in the long Hub basement room

Fixed gold being subtracted twice when silver drops below 0 and rolls over

When entering certain small rooms and remaining against a doorway, you no longer have to walk away from the doorway and then back in order to activate it

Ser should no longer occasionally fall into the void when entering/exiting different buildings in the Hub

Lootable containers in the Hub and Kobold Mine will now correctly retain their looted state when saving and loading

Fixed the Wizard's Sleeve and Magic Merchant having items listed in their store for sale but with no quantity, preventing their selection

The dirt in in the Dwarf Tavern Basement, for the Ratfolk quest, now correctly appears under ser and other characters

The Dwarf Villager in the hub will now face toward the camera while in the Dwarf Tavern Basement

Fixed an issue where talk SFX could fail to be set up for characters in dungeons

Fixed a bug where the Ratfolk quest couldn't be failed and ended correctly

The Cleverness human racial talent no longer grants double experience and instead +20%, as was intended

Wrote some alternate dialogue for when visting High Forest with Kobold Princess at a later stage in her quest

Bandit Tower can actually be visited now, oops

Probably fixed a softlock caused by the first insect soldiers in Kobold Mine not being able to fade out

Fixed missing dialogue in Kobold Mine when the optional final fight is won

Replaced instances of the perk 'It's Shit' with 'It's Garbage' in dialogue, as was intended.  Can't have overly offensive language in our mostly SFW game, isn't that right, Hetros?

Refusing to help the Dwarf Villager out further, during the Ratfolk Quest, should now correctly finish the dialogue and return to the main hub room

Fixed one of the Auntie Bubble and Auntie Trouble, Ratfolk, Mage Ser, dialogue options not working

Fixed one of the Ratfolk dialogue options having incorrect Dialogue Choice formatting

Fixed two dialogue options in the Chloelle Idol quest not going to the correct dialogue

When a quest is set to Finished or Failed, the last popup flash at the bottom right will now display a 'Quest Finished' or 'Quest Failed' instead of 'Quest Updated'

When loading a game, if ser's body type is not set, it will no longer prompt the character creation screen for unfilled settings

Fixed a typo in Bone Dad's dialogue, when lying about the potion, that could softlock the game

Fixed Forge Knight updating the wrong quest when asking about fetish carvings

Adding some missing dialogue lines to Kobold Knight's choose-to-speak-with dialogue

Added missing dialogue for one of the dialogue choice's in Kobold Councilor's pre-siege dialogue

Fixed the Bolt, Conjure Pastry, and Conjure Cigar talents in the talent selection screen displaying incorrect tooltip information

Ability tooltips should correctly arrange the information and flavor text and no longer have overlapping text as a result

You can no longer select infinite talents, or out of order talents, with the first talent point that you start the game with :DDDDDD

Fixed several typos in Kobold Princess' dialogue that could prevent access to certain lines of dialogue or softlock the game

Hitting the Exit Dungeon button immediately after entering a dungeon, but before the transition animation is done, will no longer exit the dungeon and softlock the game

Hitting sublocations on the bottom bar while exiting a dungeon will similarly no longer have any effect and bork up the game states + softlock

Updated battle button tooltips to remove references to the no longer used Action Points

Fixed an error caused by selecting armies on the overmap owned by hostile armies belonging to no particular kingdom (i.e. Tusk, Molted)

The very first line of dialogue in a conversation will now correctly show an avatar and use appropriate talk SFX as appropriate

Fixed Boar Knight not having talking SFX after joining the party

Fixed an issue where party members would fail to set their correct choose-to-speak-with dialogue/conversation when loading a game

Fixed some dead-end softlocks in Boar Knight's dialogue

Added some missing dialogue to Boar Knight's choose-to-speak-with conversation and Roasted P'orc conversation

A certain knight is now removed from Enchanted Tower when one of several criteria are set

The game should now be able to save in one of the few rooms before Malevolent Mirror successfully and then load to them- will not retroactively apply to old saves in those rooms

When loading the game into a dungeon, if ser's saved-to dungeon room cannot be found, the player will instead be returned to the first room of the dungeon

The dialogue conditional for checking ser's origin now works with >=, >, <=, and < operands, as was intended

Fixed the special boss health bar at the end of Enchanted Tower not working and throwing errors

Mace and Spear Bandits no longer have an accuracy of 0, and can correctly attack as a result

Fixed an oversight that let Ser appear to slide around if moving right after the Leylight Wash animation ends

Probably fixed an issue where enemies with a fraction of a point of health left could incorrectly have their health amount displayed as 0 in their panel

Fixed the Silver Tongue option with Bandit Chief not being able to start the battle

Closing out of Boar Knight's dialogue is now a thing and throws no errors in the process

The Split Asunder debuff can now stack, as was intended

Bandit Chief should no longer appear in Bandit Tower after the dungeon is wrapped up

You can no longer assign an attribute point, while leveling up, and then via button shenanigans exit out of leveling with that attribute point still assigned

Field Princess is no longer also called Exile Princess interchangeably

Fixed an unintended loop in Kobold Princess' dialogue, in High Forest, if Ser has the Lawman's Son background

Added a bit of missing dialogue to the final encounter in Kobold Mine

Closing out of the character inspect will now also close out of any open ability or talent tooltips

Fixed an issue where enemies acting would skip the current selected character and go to the next player character ready to act

Fixed an issue where enemies acting while the player has partially issued an order would return to the main radial menu

Buffs that have thorns effect, and deal damage to attacking enemies, will now take effect and work on enemies even when oncoming hits deal zero damage

Surge now actually grants a buff

Nova now deals as much damage as was claimed in the tooltip

Abilities can now correctly apply one of an arbitrary number of buffs or debuffs

Acid Spray will now correctly apply one of random buffs if the status resist roll is failed

Magelight will now grant +3 MP when selected outside of the typical leveling-up menu

Bolster now recovers 2 seconds of Action Timer instead of stamina, as was intended

Invigorate now recovers 5 seconds of Action Timer instead of stamina, was was also intended

Skyward Shields, and other battle abilities that specifically target the rear column, should now work correctly

Fixed the Tumble and Roll passive description; now correctly displays ++5% Avoidance instead of an inaccurate +7%

You can no longer stack Blessed and Greater Blessed buffs by using the later in a dungeon

Gouge's Bleeding debuff will no longer be denoted as persisting, as it only actually lasts five turns

Summon Armor will now update Ser's battle sprite appearance when used in battles

Character favorited siege abilities, that cannot be used in battle, will retroactively be removed from their favorited ability list(s) on loading

Fixed a bug where casting Summon Armor in the dungeon would cause the character panel's buffs to constantly refresh every frame

When resting or losing the buff, Summoned Armor will now correctly refresh all the sprites that make up ser

When using Summon Armor in battle, Ser's battle sprite should now fully refresh and update to show the summoned armor

Special boss panels/healthbars now show an Action Timer

The 'Set Destination' button in the territory inspector should work once again and throw no errors

Added a placeholder Pause button for battles; when toggled on the Action Timers will fill 1/10 as quickly

The Knife Nut talent should now apply to Shortswords, as was intended

May have fixed an error being thrown by the top left coin effect, which occurred during transactions

The fourth party slot (bottom left) can now correctly have the corresponding character removed in the grid display

Double Tap now works as intended; hopefully didn't break anything else in the process of fixing it

Wave of Daggers now targets correctly; wasn't flagged to 'Target Hostile' for some reason

Sucks To Be You's Stun should correctly have a chance of applying to the hit enemy

Smoke Grenade now works as intended, although it will now apply full avoidance to enemies

Replaced instances of 'Blunt Resist' with 'Crush Resist' in the Hulk and Face-To-Fist-Style tooltips

The Haul Ass talent now speeds up Ser in dungeons, as was intended

The Pugilist talent's description now also mentions the increase in damage from the improved damage divisor

All Out Attack was also missing a Target Hostile bool, should work as intended now

Entropy Bolt will now correctly apply one of random buffs if the status resist roll is failed

Fixed an oversight in the code where players used abilities in dungeons outside of battles; Bless and Greater Blessed buffs should now interact as intended

Shield to Face is now correctly set as an Ability

Enabling or disabling QTE's in battle, via options, should now correctly be saved

Bolster now works as was intended and the Action Timer recover has been increased to 3 seconds (from 2)

Grit Those Teeth! should now work as intended

Fixed an issue in Boar Knight's recruitment dialogue

Selecting an ability with the first talent point, out of the levelup screen, should now allow that ability to appear on the bottom bar if it's an ability useable in dungeons

The It's Garbage perk should now correctly reduce the cost of equipment by 20%; updated the description slightly

Charismatic, Silver Tongue, A New Man, and Nonchalant should now correctly increase character Disposition- this will not retroactively be applied

Wariness and Desperate Strength now work slightly differently for the ATB system, updated the descriptions

Shrine of Humility should now correctly grant +1 Food income when owning at least one territory

The 'When All You Have' origin talent should now correctly grant +1 Damage for all types of Blunt weapon

Fixed an issue that could cause Character Frame buffs to constantly refresh, preventing them from being highlighted or showing their tooltip

Fixed a crash that could occur when loading if Ser had more than six dungeon-useable abilities

Mining Councilor's dialogue will no longer lock up when returning from the Kobold Mine after settling things non-violently

Fixed an issue that could prevent the choosing-to-speak-with-character dialogue from working and throwing an error

Fixed an issue with Robe items not being purchaseable; additionally they've been renamed to Novice Robes for purely flavor reasons

The Councilor dialogue options should no longer vanish from Canopy Cave dialogue between the king meeting and first moot

The OUT OF DATE popup in the main menu, when the game is out of date, will now properly shade all of the screen behind that alert popup

Fixed an endlessly looping dialogue with Boar Knight via adding a back option

Added support to the main menu for detecting minute Patron/Public versions of the game

Fixed an issue that could prevent Kobold Princess' from continuing past the initial councilor tasks

Invigorate and Homily now have a cast time

Updated Spider Swarm's description to properly indicate that it lasts for 10 turns

Strength now properly applies a buff to the targeted charater

Fixed an issue where clicking on a dungeon item in quick succession would pick up more than one of that item

Shield Smash has been set to target hostiles, and should work correctly now

The Escapee talent has had 'Speed' in the description replaced with Awareness; Ser should also now run faster, as was intended

Dismal Shiv's description now makes mention of the +1D3 Cold Damage

The dungeon map will now be hidden when starting a battle

Nimbus and Nova now use their correct icons in the abilities screen and elsewhere

Status tooltips will now correctly mention any modifications to Cold or Electric resist

Gas Cloud is now correctly denoted as being a Destruction spell

Abilities and spells that are not intended to be used in Battle should no longer be able to be used in battle :DDDDD

Restored ability/spell animations in battle

Abilities and spells used outside of battles will now only cost their respective resource once instead of twice

Marking Shot now correctly applies a debuff

Conjure Pastry now works

Changed the way For Absent Friends works- before it was hardcoded to appear in battle messages when Ser took damage, under a certain amount of health.  Instead it will now grant a 50% Damage Resistance buff as appropriate that can be highlighted and viewed on Ser's character panel.

Buffs can now have custom tooltips

Guts and Desperate Strength should now also have Buff icons for when they are active on a character.
