In each kingdom, 5 heroes and their mighty beasts assisted those who would become royalty. The early royals and the heroes struck Dragon Queen blow after blow, cracking the perfectly faceted gems upon her foreheads, and from the broken fragments national treasures were forged, sometimes a crown, sometimes a weapon: sometimes, some tiny item that has since been lost to history... but in every case, the bloodline, and their kingdom, has been marked by the magic of those gems.
