The Centaurs never bent knee to Humanity, and their fierce and inquisitive people fought tooth and nail to retain their hold over the Stamping Moorlands, having prepared for such a conflict since the fall of P'orc and Holstaur. The Centaurs used their speed and strength, and a gift from the far south, to fight the forces of High Forest to a standstill, and for centuries an uneasy ceasefire hung over the Moorlands. Now, with High Forest fragmenting and it's core rotting away, Centaur Princess' letters home from her explorations have galvanized her people into a new period of patriotism and conquest.
