I’d been looking forward to this Halloween party for weeks—a gathering exclusively for witches, complete with magical decorations, enchanted treats, and costumes that ranged from the classic to the downright absurd. I’d decided to go as Raven from DC comics, and I’d nailed the look. My costume was the perfect mix of dark, mysterious, and just the right level of sexy—tight purple bodysuit, black cape, and a headpiece that framed my face perfectly.

The party was a blast. We danced, laughed, and swapped spells like they were trading cards. But as the night wore on, I started hearing whispers about someone playing a prank—something about a spell that would trigger unexpected changes when people got home and relaxed.

“Probably just a rumor,” I thought, brushing it off.

When I finally got home, I was ready to unwind. I kicked off my boots, tossed my cape onto the couch, and plopped down in my computer chair.

That’s when it happened.

A tingly sensation spread through my body, starting at my toes and working its way up. I froze, watching in horror as my stomach swelled, becoming round and full like I’d just eaten a feast.

“What the—” I started, but before I could finish, I felt a kick.

My eyes widened. “Oh no. Oh no no no.”

I scrambled for my phone, dialing my friend Lucy.

“Sally, I think someone pranked me!” I shouted into the phone.

Sally burst out laughing. “Oh my god, Kira, you got hit with the Halloween baby spell? That’s hilarious!”

“This isn’t funny!” I snapped, holding my stomach. “Why would someone do this?”

“Relax,” she said, still giggling. “It’s temporary. The effects wear off in a few hours. Just… enjoy the ride.”

With that, she hung up, leaving me sitting there in disbelief.

But then, I got another sensation—a sudden, overwhelming craving for pizza.

I grabbed my phone and ordered five pizzas—pepperoni, cheese, barbecue, veggie, and Hawaiian—plus sides of garlic bread, mozzarella sticks, and a giant soda.

By the time the food arrived, I felt like I hadn’t eaten in months. I devoured everything, barely pausing between bites.

As I sat there, full and content, I couldn’t help but laugh at the absurdity of it all.

“Well,” I said to myself, patting my round stomach, as I felt another kick, "this is so weird."
