Added 2019-12-06 02:31:07 +0000 UTCI am sorry to make this post, but unfortunately am forced to: we are going to have to find a new artist, as it has become clear our old one was not going to complete the work.
As you will know, artwork was meant to drop in 0.4.0, at the end of October. Our artist couldn't complete the work by then, despite thinking they could. This happens and we aimed for the next release.
Since then, it has been the same story repeated: no work produced, and no communication except when asked. They gave just enough to keep me assuming they were working, but I'd asked for a hard deadline after so long for the coming 0.7.0 release, which they agreed to. They then proceeded to not reply when asked about process, to the point the work clearly was not going to be done again.
It has become clear that they are not going to be able to produce the artwork for Sculptor, and were drip-feeding me the bare minimum to keep me on the hook. I will be looking for a new artist instead. I am really sorry it worked out like this: I was trying to be understanding and fair, but it appears that has been taken advantage of.
This will of course mean the artwork won't be in the 0.7.0 release, I'll keep you all up-to-date on the process of finding a new artist.
This will not affect the release timetable: 0.7.0 should release as expected for Patrons on Monday.
Sorry again: I am as excited as you all are (if not more!) about getting art into the game, and I am really annoyed that months have been lost to this.
