Added 2023-09-02 18:31:43 +0000 UTCHere is the uncensored version of visiting the Mwila tribe in Angola. However, I did not include the uncensored footage of the morning snip snip for obvious reasons. Enjoy!
This goes live tomorrow on YouTube

Mike it's good that the world is so vast and extensive; that during the Portuguese colonization it did not have much influence on those cultures that preserved their traditions; African tribes like Mwila are the sequels of a prehistoric past, because it represents that essence before civilizations. It is so unknown to me and I imagine for many of us who are from the West, but also to the East to know the different cultures and their thought phenomenon. As many mention about circumcision, my opinion is something that is hard for many to accept: Unlike Sam, I don't mind this procedure for children but it does affect me that they don't use drugs or more effective drugs so that it doesn't hurt; What I do reason with is the way they do it. It is difficult to give an opinion and perhaps it is very easy for me to say since I have never been circumcised. I think each individual who lives in different parts of the planet finds it hard to understand things that for one is barbaric, while for others it is something within the ordinary, I don't know if it is normal because the facial expression of the parents of that child was extremely distressing . Neither East nor West would understand that. Mike, the world is so vast and extensive that there is a hiatus of knowledge, as I mentioned in your YouTube video; Your video is so contrasted (situations of all kinds) that the realities overlap and that's why I like your videos so much. In the answer to your videos, you convey such a powerful message Mike. that one makes one think "money is worth nothing compared to the value of the stories of human life and its cultures", I think it is something that the helites of the world do not understand about the beauty of those moments and experiences that you project in your content, Stories like that fascinate me quite a bit. Mike you are an inspirational force that emboldens each one of us; those of us who see you listen to you, that's why in my opinion spending the money doesn't bother me at all and always keep in mind that I want to live those moments: the wisdom and experience of strong situations, extreme circumstances are an integral part of the development of knowledge that one acquires . I want to judge with my own eyes and contemplate those life stories. I am glad to know that the world is unknown to me, and that you also have a lot to see and know. I agree with many who have expressed their opinion of that experience in Angola.
2023-09-05 03:55:35 +0000 UTCI'm always fascinated to see these different isolated tribes and their cultures, their clothing, their food, everything about them, and it makes me want to go and do the same, travel the world to meet these tribes for myself! Seeing you guys in a tribal hut wearing animal onesies was priceless! 😂 And that circumcision ritual... it's a lot to think about. I have just about the same reaction as you, Mike. I think rites of passage are a great thing, and something we've lost touch with in the west... however, personally, I think circumcision is wrong. I recognize that much of morality is cultural, that I am in no place to judge, and that they view this as an important rite of passage, and a cause for month-long celebration... yet I cannot personally accept any form of genital mutilation (yes, it is genital mutilation, a form of permanent genital mutilation given a different name) as right. I think it's wrong, very very wrong, to cut off any part of a child's genitals. I was circumcised myself, and I wish I had not been, yet I am always uncomfortable talking about it or saying that I don't like it, because I am supposed to accept it and see it as just part of a culture or a standard medical procedure. I didn't choose to have part of my penis cut off, and I think we need to face the fact that that is what is happening, without watering it down and pretending it's not genital mutilation. That said... it is true that it is a cultural thing, and my views are not the same as theirs. It's extremely uncomfortable to even think about, yet it's something we just have to accept if we are going to understand the realities of the world and be pluralistic about all of the world's cultures. I may think it's wrong, but that is always going to happen when anyone of any culture travels to a distant corner of the world and finds something deeply offensive. And despite being upset at it, I'm glad to learn about it, and I think part of growing up is accepting that there are many cultures with many beliefs. In a way, learning about these cultures and seeing these things that make us uncomfortable and upset, is a rite of passage of its own. Thanks for the video, Mike!
