'Zines 'Zines 'Zines

SOME FOOTBALL COMICS went into the mail for all members of the 'Zine Club last week. Please let me know if you don't receive your copy within the next week or so (international members always allow a couple extra days)

If you are enjoying receiving my 'zines, please do me a huge favor and post about the club somewhere on your social media. I would love to add new members. I love putting together little self-published 'zines and mini-comics, and even just a few new sign-ups is a fantastic motivator. As this project has progressed, I've been leaning further and further into some core 'zine principles: a 'zine can be whatever you want, whatever interest you have at that moment, it doesn't have to appeal to ten thousand readers, it's cool if it resonates with just ten (though two to three hundred would be the number I'd ideally love to get to). 

I posted an update a month or two back about how I'm currently right in the thick of it with a brand new middle-grade graphic novel. I've been working hard on my first draft, which is why things have been quiet in terms of new diary comics. I love how it's coming out, it's going to be a very different kind of book than my Fifth Quarter series, something that I think kind of marries what I do with my journal comics and cartoon essays very well with what I'm attempting with books aimed at younger readers. If you ever read my Nib essay Longstreet Farm, then you'll have a small inkling of what this new book is going to be touching upon. 

All that means here in terms of this Patreon though is that I'll probably be keeping my head down and not posting a ton, but I intend to keep my momentum going with the 'zine club. Expect another small mini in the month of December, and the next issue of FUN TIME in the early New Year.
