Added 2023-09-21 19:18:14 +0000 UTCWith the news of Joe Matt's death, I was reminded of an old episode of the podcast I used to host at The Comics Journal, TCJ Talkies, where Julia Wertz and I discussed two autobiographical graphic novels, Can't We Talk About Something More Pleasant? by Roz Chast and Joe Matt's final book, SPENT.
I went to listen to the episode on The Comics Journal website and realized that none of my old podcasts are available anywhere online anymore. I've been kind of mulling bringing a podcast element to this Patreon, so thought maybe it would be cool to post the audio of this conversation, to try out this feature for the first time.
This podcast was recorded all the way back in 2014. The format was me talking to other cartoonists about other cartoonist's work. I think this probably holds up fairly well.
