Barbie!
Added 2023-07-24 15:45:30 +0000 UTCI did the Barbenheimer this weekend, and I 1000% spent more time dwelling upon and turning over in my mind and struggling with the movie about the toy than I did thinking about the one about the atomic bomb.
I think Barbie will end up having a lot in common with The Last Jedi. It's definitely going to be divisive, it is in my opinion uneven, with with moments that are absolutely sublime, and it's a fantastic example of a filmmaker working with the most corporate of IP using the moment to take a swing for the fucking fences, and I'd always *always* rather see that than not.
