A Year of Making Comics - Update #6

A short post just to say, when I updated this series on Monday, I definitely felt morose. I think it was a bit NYT postpartum (this happens a lot, you think something's coming that's going to "change" things for you, and it does a little, but never as radically as you'd hoped), combined with, as I said that day, a feeling that I was floundering around trying to figure out what the new story I wanted to make was going to be about, and feeling like the whole day had been frittered away with very little to show for it.
As I also said in my last update, at the risk of sounding a little woo-woo, as a writer, those days that feel unproductive and go-nowhere, might indeed be part of "the process". The next day was a little better, then Wednesday was better than that, and today I feel like I had a breakthrough. I'm far from there, but the process might be sometimes, make a little progress, sleep on it, make a little more, and so on.
Today I feel excited about my ideas.
