hey Rama! The point I was going for is that folks who are liberally inclined, such as myself, are susceptible to taking seriously accusations of hypocrisy, because many "American ideals", such as "nobody is above the law" and the concept that we as a nation are permanently in the process of seeking a "more perfect union", etc, are genuinely appealing. I do not think for a moment that left/liberal/democrat/etc groups are beyond hypocrisy. I'm saying that the reactionary/nationalist factions are immune to the accusation.

2022-08-11 12:58:41 +0000 UTCI'm definitely on your side of things politically, but I've noticed plenty of hypocrisy on our side too. I know from my own experience that - when someone points out my own unintended hypocrisies - it takes me days sometimes months to drop my defenses and acknowledge that I was wrong. I'm working on it. I hope I'm getting better. But I think hypocrisy might be a human condition, not a conservative one. I think that all of us will always have blind spots and more to learn.
