Trying to take a trip right now feels batsh*t insane, I don't know what to say. We planned it when it felt like this was going to be the summer of getting back to normal life. I don't know when we're going to get there now.
Today it's seeming likely it's not coronavirus, we took him to his doctor this morning, they said there are all sorts of viruses around that normally circulate in the winter, and they're seeing something like this, kids getting fevers for about a week and nothing else. The viral rhythms are off, things that would normally have gone around a few months ago, are exploding now.
My daughter is right to have on her mind whatever she has on her mind. An eighth-grade locker orientation is important to a kid who basically missed half of sixth-grade and pretty much all of seventh. They need normal things in their lives.
