Build a Token - Pack 01

We've got something new and exciting for you to play with!
As many of you know we are working on a "Token maker" app, which is more or less ready for testing from a software side of things... However it'll take us a little bit more time to make all the art thats required for (alpha) launch and it'll inevitably require some tweaking along the way etc. We wanna make sure we do things the proper way so it's hard to judge when it's all going to be ready as a whole.
However, we as we are making this art... we've decided to not keep you waiting and let you start playing with it now!
This release starts a new line of packs that we plan to expand upon with future releases as we build out our library for the eventual Token Maker release.
It features a modular approach to Tokens with plenty of various gear and accessory pieces that can be combined in limitless ways on top of a "Base" that also has various options to choose from including skin color, ears, tails, horns etc.
In this first pack, there are over 45 pieces for the "Base" and over 45 pieces for "Gear" that you can combine however you like. All pieces are also available in multiple color variants!

Build a Token pieces are avialable as individual PNG files that "snap" on top of each other as well as PSD which has all pieces sorted and grouped for easier token creation as well as applied automatic drop shadow effect.
- If you do not own Photoshop, the PSD file can also be opened in Photopea.com (Completely free browser based option), Affinity, Gimp, CSP or any other software that supports PSDs.
(Photoshop, Photopea and Affinity are most compatible as CSP for example doesnt support the automatic drop shadow effect. )
- Default resolution is 1200x1200px which is "Scale300", since many pieces can go outside of the standard "Normal" sized 400x400 bounding box.

Please, don't let people wait so long for an update. I know it's a long way to create things and to make them work, but since you have a lot of already made assets try to adjust them into the psd so that we can create more tokens. After 9 months it would be so precious.. Out there we can only use heroforge to create tokens, but since the style is so off from the creatures you make it so bad to see in a TTV. There is no need to release big updates with 900 assets, 20 poses or so on, but maybe some weapons, armor and hairstyle every month? It would be so much appreciated!

2025-08-15 02:26:09 +0000 UTCI got this pack a while back and used it to make tokens for my players, and some NPCs and creatures by getting the top down tokens for animals and resizing the clothing assets on top. Really love the artwork! Once you've got the base sorted, do you see a future where you add more options for species/ancestries? And, i understand this is a lot of extra work, would you consider making different assets for different systems? Like the kobold in pathfinder looks different from kobolds in dnd. I've tried using your style guide to make my own creature tokens, and they're fine ig, but you guys' art is so much prettier π I would totally buy a pack with pathfinder-compatible tokens!

I fear you may have created a monster though - so many playable species, weapons and armour out there! :) I ended up using XNConvert to batch auto-crop a bunch of the files down to size, assemble, then convert the assembled png to webp for Foundry. Worked a treat.
