Hey guys,
I want to take advantage of the end of the year to give you a brief summary of the progress I’ve made on Terry Tales.
As you know, Terry Tales is a personal project where I want to include all the aspects I love most about the games I grew up with. Just like I did with Elliot Quest, I don’t want to rush this game. My intention isn’t to create a game to make profits, but rather to craft something with a lot of love for video games.
Disclaimer: The art in the images does not reflect how the game will look. I’m currently using placeholder images and sprites from other games, as well as concept drafts.
I’ve implemented the Phantom Camera plugin. I’ll use it to center the camera and cover the entire area in points of interest and during boss fights to ensure both the player and the boss are always visible.

I’ve completed designs for various environments in the world, including deserts, forests, plains, caves, and abandoned cities. Each will have its own unique enemies and different items to obtain in those areas.

There will be random encounters on the map in a classic RPG style, with each one being a different type of challenge. For example, in this small demonstration, frogs fall from above.

I’ve prepared different mechanics requiring specific abilities to access certain areas and progress in the game.
I have at least 12 different enemies ready, each with unique mechanics and ways to be defeated, ensuring the game doesn’t feel monotonous and presents an intellectual challenge during combat.

The game will feature many types of items that can be combined to create new ones, helping complete quests and earning more in-game money to buy upgrades.

I’m planning at least five different weapons to add variety to combat. Using the right weapon at the right time will also make the game easier to complete. For example, the Blaster is necessary to destroy stone blocks in this case.
That’s all for this post. Once I make more progress, I’ll write another update. I deeply appreciate your support—creating games is a slow process, and your contributions are the only way to fund this project.
Thank you! and Happy Gamedev!
