Atlantis Environment Preview

Hello Supporters,

Here's a sneak peek for the next environment suggested in the last poll. It's from a game called Atlantis from the Intellevision System.

Stay tuned for more.

Me too, but it's getting a LOT of trash. Though I think much of it is that people don't like Tommy Tallarico (paired with the delays), more than not liking the concept of the Amico as a neo-retro game system. I wish I understood.

I'm actually looking forward to the Amico release. It looks like a fun system and Intellivision is dear to my heart since it the system that got me interested in game dev in the first place. I'm curious what Luis would do with other INTV titles? :)

It's also tied to Cosmic Ark story wise (another retro game made around the same time). At the end, the saucer flies off and it's implied that it joins the mother ship from CA. I'm gonna make a game over screen where it's flying off into space and approaching something resembling that ship.

Michael Greenhut

I never played either. But for what I see on the videos it reminds me of missile commander but with more complexity and fun things to do.

Honestly, I put in the request because a bunch of us in an Amico group (I know, it's an underdog of a system, but it's got my interest) were talking about it and I was inspired to remake it as a potential demo / pitch. At the very least, it'll be a nice portfolio piece.

This is awesome! While Atlantis wasn't one of the games I had for my old Intellivision the fact that you are taking influence from an INTV game is beyond awesome! :)

Jason McMillen

Cool. I can do some decent night sky / starfields, so I don't mind supplementing.

Michael Greenhut

Glad you liked it. I'll try to make the noon version if I have the time. Cheers.

Luis Zuno

Sweet. I can't wait to throw this into unity and play around with the different building types, I will make something cool with this. Are you going to have the morning, noon and nighttime sky configurations from the game? (if you don't have time for that it's cool, just make the sky image and clouds individual objects so I can manipulate them)
