As someone who hasn't seen much of Angel, just the fact that anyone could possibly be *excited* to see Wes strikes me as weirdly hilarious.

Your perspective is truly unique, because you were introduced to Cordy, Faith and Wes late or near the end of their character arcs. I think especially with Faith here, you might be unfair to judge the writers harshly before you see her full arc. Casual sex would totally be on the table for either character at this point, imo.
