Uma Musume Pretty Derby: Beginning Of a new Era Reaction

This just might be the best movie I have ever watched, and that is coming from someone who typically does not like movies.

I mean I don't even know what to say. I think I'll let the reaction speak for itself. Absolutely phenomenal.

I truly think I can put this on par with season 2.

Anyway, enjoy the THREE AND A HALF HOUR LENGTH reaction lmao (sorry for so much yapping😭

also note that Tachyon here doesnt say "im retiring do to a leg injury" (in game she comes clean that she has an "Illness" after the end of her classic year) she says "im taking an indefinite Hiatus" while playing it off like its just "one of these Tachyon things" ie. playing of her reputation for beeing exccentric she does that on purpose, cause she knows that people like Pocket would be harmed in their Drive to surpass her if she says that her spectecular Running resulted in her getting injured to the point of retirement even just the wording of the announcement is done by her on purpose, to play a "Heel" an obstacle to be overcome. Its Plan B afterall, seeing (and pushing) others to reach the potential that Tachyon seeks, instead of herself also, there is a dark Implication of Tachyon maybe thinking about "Jumping" when Pocket, Dantsu & Cafe come to her after the announcement, hence why she comes in through the Window she stood next to it outside, their Room is on the Ground floor, yet i cant unsee the Implication also, great noticing the Depression Mess with Tachyon, many i saw reacting didnt, or at least didnt see the implication. and Yes, Pocket gets hit full force with something that Top Performers, no matter of any sport or even entertainment know too well Imposter Syndrom Pocket ran into a wall, that showed Tachyons Face, but is built by Pockets own feelings of inadequacy its also a great Showing that the difference of Pocket and Tachyon´s Problems and solving there off is the fact that Pocket HAS support, Tachyon doesnt which is were the big "what IF" of the Game Careers come in Tachyons biggest "what if" is the Fact that she has someone that looks over her, keeps her going and when neccessary, pulls her back when her self destructive tendancies surface someone who cares for her wellbeing, mental and physical, something that gets shown more and more as you Progress with Tachyon (even more so if you 3 star her, since some events are locked until then). Events that show and sometimes Tell how much Tachyon, past a certain point, came to utterly rely on you as her trainer to take care of her (since she doesnt do it herself) something Tachyon, by her own wording, doesnt mind (thats Tachyon´ese for "i realy like it".... shes kinda shit in putting feelings into words lol) i was suprised on how many new facets of Tachyons Personality come out after re-running her Career after 3 star´ing her ........ ... . *also, that date at the end is adorable*

39:54 Fuji Kiseki´s Career was ironicaly just as short as Tachyon´s ironicaly enough. 4 Races, 4 Wins retired after the Yayoi-Sho (the Triple Crown Preliminary G2) so he never made it realy into his Classic Year either

TheHeretic

also? welcome to the Curch of Tachyon, there is free Tea on the Table next to the Door, please refrain from the Pot next to it, we dont know what is in it yet

TheHeretic

31:41 Happy Meek DIDNT have a RL Counterpart, she does now, a fan named one of his Gray Colts Happy Meek (hes currently racing in local circuits in Japan if i got that right)

TheHeretic

I think it was Mejiro Ryan and McQueen at the Yellow Stall at the summer festival scene.

This may have been answered already, but I believe the third image shows Mr. C.B., a triple crown winner, if I am not mistaken.

Once I saw you were gonna do Umamusume, I knew i had to join up and see the movie reaction, and it did not disappoint. I'm super glad you caught on to the fact that Tachyon's whole being ok with her "Plan B" thing was pure cope. Its also really cool how you caught on to the state of Tachyon's room getting worse and worse cause I feel like not many people do. The way her and Pokke's arcs sort of parallel and inform each other is so peak, with them both having their journies through depression. Pokke develops some insane imposter syndrome due to her obsession with how Tachyon ran at the Satsuki Sho, and Tachyon became obsessed with her research after seeing how Pokke ran at the Derby. With how messy her lab was, I can only imagine how much she could've neglected other areas of her life Both of them were in need of help, but only Pokke had the support system around her to recognize that and pull her out of it because Tachyon pushed everyone away after her retirement. Everyone except Pokke, who still reaches out a hand and is able to inspire Tachyon the way Fuji inspired her at the very beginning: by giving her a show. Yap aside, I am very glad to have joined

Holy shit, that shift to the previous arcs. I think what did impress me the most was the power of emotion they were able to convay. Never have I felt the statement "they live to run" so much. After 3 season I thought would they do the same again, but no. Great movie.

TM Opera O- The Conqueror of Century’s End TM Opera O is my favorite Uma alongside Tokai Teio. And I’m so excited to share the story of The Overlord at Century’s End, TM Opera O. TM Opera O’s father is the accomplished British racehorse Opera House who was brought to Japan by Masatsugu Takezono. The TM part of his name comes from Masatsugu Takezono, the Opera part from Opera House, and the O is a common suffix meaning royalty. The start of Opera’s career is heavily influenced by Oguri Cap’s legacy. For obvious reasons I’ll tell this part of the story later. Now for her classic year that was covered in Road to The Top. As shown in Road to The Top Opera won the Satsuki Sho. What’s not shown is that Opera’s jockey Wada Ryuji was the youngest jockey to win the Satsuki Sho. This race also had its controversy as Opera’s owner got upset with the amount of whipping Wada did during that last spurt of the race. This caused Wada to change his racing style with Opera. As you know Opera also lost the Derby and Kikuka Sho and came second in the Arima Kinen. These losses were chopped up to Wada’s inexperience and at the end of the year Opera’s owner wanted to replace Wada. However Opera’s trainer/Wada’s teacher stood by his young prodigy and threatened that if Wada was removed as Opera’s jockey then he would refuse to train Opera. As such Wada remained Opera’s jockey. Opera’s senior year took place in the year 2000. He would go on to race 8 times with 4 being domestic G1’s and 1 foreign G1. He won all of them. During the turn of the Century Opera was undefeated for the whole year. This is where his nickname “The Conqueror of Century’s End” and “The Overlord at Century’s End” came from. This part of his racing career would also give way to his rivalry with Meisho Doto who came in second to a majority of these races. All in all this year gave TM Opera O the record for most G1 wins in a year and solidified Opera and Wada as an iconic horse/jockey duo. Going into his last year of racing Opera and his team planned on surpassing Symboli Rudolfs record 7 G1 wins. This year he would win 2 out of 7 races with 3 second place standings. Opera would win by a nose against Meisho Doto in the spring Tenno Sho early on in the year making it 7 G1 wins. The next race was the Takarazuka Kinen in which he had won last year. However he would end up losing to Meisho Doto by 1 1/2 lengths, making it Meisho Doto’s first win against TM Opera O. TM Opera O’s last win was at the Kyoto Daishoten a G2 race. The Kyoto Daishoten that year had an odd series of events. Technically the horse that passed the finish line first was Stay Gold. (father to Gold Ship, Orfevre, Fenomeno, Dream Journey and Nakayama Festa) However Stay Gold crossed in front of Narita Top Road during the final stretch of the race causing NTR’s jockey to fall off. This action led to Stay Gold being disqualified and the runner up TM Opera O to be the winner. Sadly Opera couldn’t seem to get that last G1 and ended his career tying Symboli’s record. By the end of his career he was the highest earning race horse in Japan and would keep that record until Kitasan Black barely surpassed him. After he retired they tried to make him into a breeding stud however his genetics were more suited for European horse racing causing his offspring to be lackluster. So he got to enjoy retirement early. Strangely enough despite having such an amazing career he didn’t have many fans. His dominance was probably the cause for it as with someone like Special Week who was surrounded by other top tier horses it made races interesting but with Opera the outcome was almost certain. Sadly TM Opera O would die of a heart attack in 2018 at the age of 22. I read that his heart was 1.5 times bigger than the average thoroughbred and that’s what allowed him to have the extra energy for his signature last spurt. However I couldn’t find any first hand information on this so take it with a grain of salt. Overall TM Opera O is an amazing race horse who kept the same jockey throughout the entirety of his career and completely dominated the 2000’s. Extra facts Meisho Doto would actually get depressed whenever he heard the name TM Opera O. However Meisho Doto was extremely friendly with TM Opera O leading people to think that Doto didn’t equate the name to the horse but rather his jockey which she didn’t like. More Meisho facts when she retired her stall was actually right next to Taiki Shuttles and they apparently got along well with each other. After Taiki Shuttle passed away in 22 her blanket was passed onto Doto who wears it all the time. More fun facts Agnes Tachyon’s father is Sunday Silence. (Told you he gave birth to a ridiculous amount of legendary horse) Jungle Pockets “Roar” was a real thing the horse did at the end of races.
