In my live recording of Avi's"Get Down", when you hear him doing that super low bass line, he's being recorded by Daniel Ellsworth, the keyboard guy, into a piece of equipment that lets him play those notes as if it was an actual separate singer, so that Avi's singing back-up for himself live. Very cool. This was the last show of that tour, so he let loose as he hadn't at the previous shows. They celebrated the end of that successful tour later, with a bottle of my local Sonoma County Sparkling Pinot Noir that I'd given Avi the night before after the Dallas show (and yes, I'd flown to Texas from Northern California for those last 2 shows. How's that for loyal?)
