STRANGER THINGS SEASON 4: EPISODE 8

STRANGER THINGS SEASON 4: EPISODE 8

You’re not wrong Sommers 😉

Different times, Qofy, which gives a much different perspective on both of our parts. I am referring to the 1980's, not the 60's. I still experience both male and female arrogance to this day. Back then, I experienced mainly male arrogance, which was allowed. A lot more was allowed to happen back then and unless you lived it, perspective still stands. Not all men are the way this story depicts them, I agree. All women were not the way the story depicts them either. I can only tell you that my experiences as a young woman during the timeframe being depicted in the US made this show very relatable and understandable. Just my thoughts and my perspective. Appreciate you hearing me out, if you choose.

I related to Will Cus of how I felt growing up, didn’t have a thought of him being gay although one could infer due to some behavioural tendencies and his love for Mike. I also find it interesting that they apparently are depicting “Male Arrogance” back in 1960s while simultaneously dumbing down men as bumbling idiots abusive and not worth listening to unless they’re in the good graces of the main female character… I just think it’s modern movie writing that’s all and hence the reason for my rants. Also I don’t think there’s any such thing as “Male arrogance” … just arrogance as females depict a great amount of arrogance as well I’ve never heard the term “female arrogance” unless we’re gonna pretend only males display arrogance?

🤔🤔🤔 I never thought of Will being gay…I think that because of his experience..he’ll always see himself as a misfit and a freak…a zombie boy…he’s trying to hold on to what’s left of his ties with people that don’t judge him…just my thoughts…

Iris short

Nancy feels quite a bit of guilt about not being there for Barb. Eleven didn't commission the painting Will did. That was all Will. Will is crying because he is gay (that is the common theory anyway) and has always loved Mike. Very hard on Will. Jonathan picked up on this. Hawkins is just the starting point for Vecna's hatred. He wants to take over the world. Joyce is Will and Jonathan's mom. Qofy, Robin says the word "male" because Eleven is a female. You are definitely overthinking. Again, I was raised in this time period in the United States, women were discounted on a regular basis. Men were the decision makers and most definitely ruled the roost. Male arrogance was at a very high level. Strong females were slim to none due to repercussions. Logically, I get what you're saying, but perspective is quite different when viewing this show. Also, relationships are not as cut and dry as you seem to think. I have been with my husband for over twenty years and we both have our positive and negative traits. Friend/lover relationships are all about concessions/compromise. My husband is worth the concessions/compromises that I have made and I know he feels the same when it comes to me. We are both not perfect but we are perfect for each other. That's all that matters, really. Get ready for an epic finale!
