Why would you think a woman in her early 30's is automatically infertile? Unless that's not what you meant. But you notice that Maomao is questioning whether Lady Anshi is actually the brother's mother.

2025-05-13 06:13:58 +0000 UTCI think I might have said some of this before at the end of Season 1, but this is an adaptation that is better than the source. I have read some of it, but I think somewhere around the middle of Volume 2, the story in the anime starts to elaborate on the source. There are different things even in the novel vs manga from each other, but the presentation is much better in the anime. The characters are better portrayed. There are some things that conflict, too, so in many ways you have to take the anime as the definitive version of the story, if the anime is what you're consuming. If you are reading some other version to get more information you probably won't have much luck. So that's how good this anime is.
