The Future of the Bride Tier (Commissions)

This is a bit of a courtesy announcement regarding our highest tier 'Bunny Bride'. For those who never plan to spend above Jacket Bunny feel free to stop here, and don't worry I have zero plans to mess with the main 3 tiers.

Bunny Bride is the tier which leads to the creation of VIP comics, basically comics we make based on a patron's concept rather than something conceived in-house, AKA Commissions. We've charged $80 per page for these which to be blunt is way below the average comic page online especially at the quality level we try to maintain in all our works.

To cut to it, we'll be raising the price of commissions. We have not yet decided how much but you can expect the price per page to be at least $100 per page after this change. 

The money is part of the reason. Definitely looking at what all we have to do to produce VIP comics the return is a little uh, terrible, if you were to do a dollar per hour calculation. But really the issue is time. The time it takes to discuss these ideas with the VIP, produce outlines, ask for and make changes, color and shade, write, more corrections... Its a lot and unfortunately they end up fighting for space in our to-do list with other things. And many of the VIP comics are 4 or more pages. As everyone knows we had some issues with shading coming out on time last year and an 8 page VIP comic is a pretty large order to shove into our already stacked schedule.

So I want to raise prices. It will help justify the time spent on these projects but honestly I also expect it to reduce demand a bit and space the jobs out more.

However we've had a lot of people over the first 3 years ask about these but never commit. And I would hate to punish people who were maybe saving by suddenly going 'surprise $300 more plz!' so I will be delaying this increase until 2026. January 1st this change will go into effect, and we'll raise it by whatever we decide. So if you want a VIP comic, now is the time to commit because in the New Year we will be raising the cost on this tier.
