Interesting part of meido's backstory. I've been reading the manga along with the anime. Apparently, meido's backstory was originally removed by editors from the manga release because it clashed with the tones of the series too much. But it did make the series as a volume extra. They even joke about it, very in character for this series lmao. I'd advise you to read that short chapter. It's 32.5 . You can find it on things like mangadex. I found hihari's speech more profound in the source material. It made me view her very differently than I did before.
