2022-07-06 08:15:49 +0000 UTCSo I'm a bit late to watching these 2 reactions, but I've watched them now so I'll explain briefly: Devilman is maybe the most influential horror manga period(pre Junji Ito). It originally ran from 1972 to 1973 and then got sequel mangas continually after the original 1970s anime - an anime which cartoonified it quite a bit for TV in the 70s. The manga is notably dark, the art style is way different from this version and there are other anime adaptations after the 70s anime that treat it seriously which were made before Devilman: Crybaby. An anime reaction for 80s OVA adaptations of Devilman would possibly be a nice follow-up to the Crybaby reactions, but as you've no doubt experienced this is a big mature rating label slapped on this in pretty much every adaptation as well as the manga other than the 70s anime.
