Yes. The scene when Tadano and Komi basically have their first conversation, Komi’s first real connection with anyone ever, is a monumental moment. And they showed it so beautifully here. Like I said, being a fan of the manga might actually be beneficial for the anime.

The build up to the emotional climax managed to fall flat on me. Why did they show such an emotional scene 15 min into episode 1? Are they following the story structure of the source material? I am confused.
