Cave Set Still in the Works

Hello DungeonFab Supporters!

My name is Ian, I'm the designer of the tiles, and I just need to update everyone as to what's going on with the tiles.

Cave set has been progressing, but a lot slower than anticipated. Between the holiday season and some issues with work, progress just hasn't been steady.

Cave Set Postponed for Now - Moving House

For anyone hoping for a soon release for Caves, I have some bad news.

I am moving to a new home, and have started getting everything in my current abode packed up.

All progress on Caves has been postponed until after the move. Between that and some personal matters I have to attend to, it may be a few months until the next full set release.

Tile Separator Design Contest

The entries for the contest have been collected, and the entries are now closed!

The entries, in order of submission date, are below. The entries have been made anonymous, and are numbered. The winner will be reached out to via email to decide what they want to name their file, then it will be added to all sets!

Each entry has instructions from their respective designer on how each tool is to be used or printed.

Commercial License - Price Change

When I created the pricing for these licenses, I imagined it'd get the attention of Game Stores with 3D printers, or stores with 10+ printers for their farm.

After getting to know the community and those who are subscribed to the commercial license, I realize that most of my commercial subscribers are just people trying to make some extra cash and help get the tiles into the hands of those without printers.

Update Post - Ruined Wall Scatter, Commercial Files Post Changes, Rectangular Fountain Addition

Filament Box to Tile Holder - Free Files

We just finished up a few files that can help you turn old filament boxes into tile storage containers!

Be sure to read through the instructions included in the .ZIP file to build it!

All files are pre-oriented, and should print without support. Print them at 0.2mm. If you use the braces and rivets to reinforce the corners, then make sure you print the rivets with 100% infill so they are a bit stronger.

Double Doors - Blank, Wood, and Stone set update

Just a quick update, had some requests for double doors, so we made some new models and uploaded them to all current sets!

Go ahead and download new ZIP files from the store if you'd like to print them.

Tents, Bedrolls, Modular Campfires - Grassland Set Preview

Almost all of the scatter terrain is done so far!

I just need to get the sizing right (the septagonal tent will be scaled up a bit) and finish up with the shrubbery. Then I'm off to get modular roads and creeks designed!

Quick Fix - Window Strength and Discord Server

Several reports about window strength have come through, so we made the connections thicker, and laid them on their side for added strength! All sets have been updated, so be sure to download updated files if you're having issues with the windows.

Modular Trees?! - Grassland Set Progress Preview

Steady progress so far on the Grassland Set. Bases are all textured, with most of the fence work done (for both stone and wooden fences).

Also finished up most of the files for the trees. Going to end up adding another, smaller evergreen option with a removable top for putting minis.

Still have yet to get the rest done, including modular roads, modular rivers, camping supplies, and a few more pieces of scatter terrain.

Quick Update - Fixed Bowing On Base Tiles

Good morning!

Just a quick fix today. Some printers can't bridge over the female connectors of the tiles that well. When that bridge sags, it puts pressure on the top of the male connectors, causing the tiles to bow concavely.

I've taken a layer off the top of all bases and wall connectors' male prongs, and the issue seems to be resolved!

For those of you that have a current Commercial license, this update isn't for you. Purchasing the Commercial Tier for commercial use isn't what this post is about.

Covering the Basics - DungeonFab

A couple of updates to the tiles today!

First, this new instructional video! It's just a short video covering the basics of printing and using the tiles. A link to this has been added to the Instructional PDF at the end of the document.

Next, we've added a small STL file called the Mutli-Floor Brace. This part can be added over top of walls (just like doors and windows) to help brace the floor above it, and prevent it from sliding around too much.

Hello everyone!

First, I wanted to thank you all that have either subscribed or purchased the files. This is genuinely a huge milestone for both this project and myself. I'm incredibly overwhelmed by the support and interaction with the launch videos on their various platforms!

Now onto the next release! I've started working on the Grasslands set this week, and plan on introducing some new modular scatter terrain with it!

About the tiles...

The DungeonFab tile project began 3 years ago. I had just gotten into the TTRPG scene, and I found that all of the methods for battlemaps were unimmersive, expensive, bulky, or weren't modular.

The 3D printed terrain I found all required gluing pieces together, magnets, or small parts to attach them together.

I set out to try and make terrain that printed without supports, that worked immediately off the print bed, that stored easily, and that were modular.
