Thanks Cami! When I first suggested it I thought, the film is kind of introverted and quiet in a way. But it does point out this ridiculous two faced British thing with class, normality, toeing the line. Lawrence of Arabia was like that. The four feathers. You’ll see it everywhere. A man who shorted the war by 2 years and saved millions of lives committed suicidal because he didn’t fit. Thanks for understanding. I’m not sure whether I am sad. I’m torn between anger at the way he was treated annd anger that after years of fighting against fascism and far right ideals, too many people are asleep at the wheel. I think that makes the film more relevant than it should be. It should only be a very well done historic movie it should not have such a direct relevance to now. Thanks h7n. Thanks for the reaction!
