It was cool to see Gwen Stacy in the movie but was in the wrong comic order. Gwen Stacy in the comics was Peter Parkers romantic interest before M.J. got serious. If you get a chance read the comics The Amazing Spider-Man #121–122 (June–July 1973). You will see how the fist movie sort of resembles this two comics.
